While we know for a fact that girls play monster hunters, the question remains how many actually are devoted to playing this game and would be truly considered girls and not tomboys by guys?
Almost everywhere i go, including my school, girls would be repelled at the thought of mindless hack and slashing. In fact, our class did a survery and asked every student in the room what games they played and which one they liked the best, turns out that no one selected anything from capcom, and the only thing common in the list was ps3 and xbox games. And of that list, the only games that the girls liked was Sims.
Now if the term "girl" specify women ages from 10-18, the example above would prove to be true in someways. However, this term can be used to describe pretty much every women on this planet except those on the extremes of the age scale. Unless that problem is solved, we could all say that every women who plays monster hunter is a girl and no one could argue with that fact.

I was telling people that we don't really know if any true girls play this game. And by girls the general conception would be women ages 10-18 or slight around that. So far from hundreds of the girls i've seen at school none of them are interested in hardcore gaming and i've never seen them talk about gaming, and even the few girls that do game they still are a bit leaning towards games like SIM and not mh.
