A new viral video has been released yesterday by a man claiming to be "the one you thought I would be from the start", in relation to the voice cast of Metal Gear Solid V.
On a COMPLETELY UNRELATED note, David Hayter's twitter updated around the same time the video was posted.
Could this be Hayter?
It certainly doesn't look like him. He has a sick beard and I don't see any facial hair peeking out. But honestly, it can't not be. David Hayter switched back to the Solid Snake avatar, and then posted a cryptic tweet around the same time this video was posted. We would have to be crazy to not think of Hayter.
It's better to notice that the man in the video details his status as a hollywood actor and voice actor for great CGI movies, and THEN says "Here is the hint of who I am". It's misdirection, which is what the entire ad campaign has been about. Hayter's denial being on April 1st, this guy giving us hints and then saying "No, wait, now here are the hints".
It's also worth mentioning that people consider MGS to be CGI movies. That could be a funny self-aware joke.
Also, it's really weird that you can see that guys eyes in the video. They are so cold and emotionless. It's really unnerving.
I personally don't want it to be Hayter. Give Big Boss his own voice.
They should have never used Hayter for Big Boss in the first place. If only Kojima had made a few more games with Solid Snake, there wouldn't be a voice actor issue. Could have had MGS3 out with Big Boss own voice, and another game out with Solid Snake having his own voice, and nobody would have questioned it...
Liquid and Solidus have different voices, and older Big Boss has his own... just annoying.
As a side note... I don't think that's Hayter, judging simply on his lips.
I see how it is. We're going back to the old days. It ain't like PW and MGS4 where they just show us everything. They're keeping us in the dark. This is MGS2-tier **bleep**.
I will be waiting.
