Yes, it is impossible. I know that feel, man. I always watch the workout one though...
The shows and adverts are hilarious. Not because of the content but because Kojima hyped them up so much, "LOL THE PHONE LINES ARE GOING TO BE JAMMED AT KONAMI AND I WILL GET FIRED", they also apparently cost a hell of a lot of money and yet they are the least talked about thing to do with MGS4, and when they are talked about it is always about skipping them. Solid Snake being interviewed by Catwoman is a nice touch though.

That and the PMCs ads, they are awesome.
When it comes to the PMC ads I usually watch the Ocelot one or the Raven Shield or whatever those guys are called.

I'll start tonight... And MGS2 > all... I remember back then in the original Substance after I bet all the VR missions, I said "Darn you Kojima, I won't ever replay this missions AGAIN!". At least I had fun this time, back then it was all rage.

VR was nothing, it was the dog tags that got me.
replaying the game and doing the exact same thing so many times was horrible. not looking forward to having to play MGS4 around 5 times to get the plat.
right now im going the Chicken emblem run + whatever emblems i can obtain with it; right now i just beat Crying Wolf and am at 28 hours with all the other requirements met, so the Chicken emblem is in the bag. next im going to go for the bandanna and stealth and whatever emblems i can get with them, then ill gather the rest of the emblems which will take at least 3 different playthroughs, saving the Big Boss run for last.
at least the downloaded camos dont count as special items, the Haven camo comes in handy since its makes your camo index 99% when you stay still(laying down, crouching and standing up).
