Yeah, we talked about it. I think every game since PO, except MGS4, has been a result of him having an idea and just making an MGS game around it.
Even if he made something else after MGS3 he would still be the "MGS Guy". No getting away from it now.

im sure Konami is a factor into why he just keeps making MGS games.
He should kickstart it. That's the cool thing to do now, right?
He really should go to another publisher/break off and become independent. He could still work on MGS every now and then when he feels ready to continue another part of the story but working independent and being able to shop around his new IPs to other, more new-IP willing publishers would probably be his best bet.

i want to see him team up with Naught Dog. he seems to like them and The Last Of Us.
although ND isnt a pub, Sony would handle whatever they make, but they would have free reign to do whatever they want.

I was thinking about this when I was talking publishers. He paid a visit to ND and GG after MGS4 and has praised TLOU so if he could get Sony to pick up one of his new IPs, he could probably get a lot of the 1st party studios to come around/get their opinions/help like Sony does so often with their studios. Sony would probably be one of the more lax publishers he could go to but I think quite a few others would loosen up for being able to produce a Hideo Kojima game as well.
Konami needs the guy so I think he could easily expand himself and still be able to come back to Konami cause he's their money maker.
