Re: No Event Support? Really?

Found this thread via BSN and I'm here to show support. I'm sick of getting the shaft from every developer on every game because we choose to play on a Playstation 3. Sony, Bioware, whoever is at fault, FIGURE THIS GARBAGE OUT.

Re: No Event Support? Really?

its just the fact that these stupid fucks wont comply with bioware just because they work with microsoft. its like little kids: when one kid sees another playing with someone they dont like thay automatically dont like them either. and its fucking stupid. Sony should be the bigger corperation and just work with bioware. and just to add to the recent battlefield update EA's really getting annoying because its still got that freezing problem and they tried to cover it up by adding personal servers. It wouldnt be so bad to me but i take multipule hours to get online.

It's stink that PS3 users are being kept from all these MP events. But, also remember that all MP online play is console-restricted (i.e. PC MP online only, Xbox MP online only, PS3 online only). It may very well be a technical issue between the game and the PS3 console, or even the red-tape of dealing with Sony. And with "exclusivity agreements", things can get more complicated if in fact that is the case.

These exclusions make Sony and Bioware look bad.

Believe it or not, cross platform game play is quite attainable. Square-Enix did it with Final Fantasy XI and should FF XIV ever come to the PS3, that will happen again. I used to play FF XI on my PS2 while my wife was on her PC and we did plenty of things together on the same server and in the same group.

But it shouldn't be hard to keep track of the total kills and promotions even with separate servers. It's a matter of tallying up the numbers as they come in. I don't see why they can't have a program that can accept numbers from all 3 platforms.

Re: No Event Support? Really?

Curious if a response here will ever happen, or if these boards are as useless as the BioWare ones. I hope EA and Sony can work something out so we can participate in these events.

Re: No Event Support? Really?

At least BioWare posts the occasionl PR statement to make us think they are listening.  I contacted Sony about it and they gave me a form response that didn't even come close to having anything to do with the question that was asked.  Thanks Sony!  2 more days and I get an xbox.

Re: No Event Support? Really?

Maybe people that want to participate should call Sony and refer them to this thread. In case a Sony representative reads this and claims it is the first they are hearing of it, refer to the BioWare forums :

OPERATION GOLIATH: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/324/index/9993278

OPERATION RAPTOR: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/324/index/10731456

There was one in between that we could participate in, OPERATION FORTRESS, but that was only extra xp. The other two reward in game (multiplayer only)  special gear packs that are rewarded for completing the objective. There is apparently some "technical issue" with the PS3 that BioWare says they are working with Sony to resolve. What is this issue and what are you doing to resolve it, if anything?

Really? Nobody cares? This isn't going to be fixed if we don't keep up the support...

Re: No Event Support? Really?

I am going to call Sony again tomorrow and refer the person I speak with to this thread. Maybe if enough people do so something can get done? I dunno, starting to think about saying eff it and buy myself an X-Box. I have plenty of friends who have gotten fed up with Sony as of late and done just that.
