Not happening, the licensing issues with the first one simply crush all hopes of that happening. That being written, ME2 has the comic that comes with the Cerberus Pack & it does have points where you make decisions that carry over into the main ME2 game. ME3 is also gonna be multi-platform.
Sorry to burst anyones bubble but if you wanna play ME01 either have the other system or get it for PC.
@SlashZaku: I really wish the powers that be were putting Valkyria Chronicles 3 on the PS3. Regulating such a fine series only to a handheld does a disservice to it, I'll always wonder with VC2 if the limitations that're on the PSP would've occured on the console.
How do I access the Interactive Comics! I have searched every wehere but unable to locate it.. appreciate any help on this issue.
If you bought ME 2 new and input the code for the content (and downloaded it of course) then you have to start playing ME 2. You go through the initial cutscene and then the comic is accessed via gameplay. I forget exactly which point it shows up, but I think it's pretty much around the point when you are able to customize your Commander Shepard character.
If you bought ME 2 used, then you'll have to purchase the interactive comic separately.
This of course applies only to the PS3 version and not the 360 version. Just in case you weren't asking about the PS3 version.
I have never been a fan of RPGs and never bothered with the Mass Effect series. That changed after I saw the trailer for Mass Effect 3 during this year's E3. It did kind of spark some interest so I looked on YouTube for some gameplay footage of Mass Effect 2. I am extremely interested in the series now and think this is the kind of RPG for me. I bought Demon's Soul's and didn't like it as much as I thought I would like. I think I am gonna buy Mass Effect 2 soon and see how that goes. From what I saw in the gameplay videos I looked at, the story seems interesting and deep with a nice mix of characters and locations. And the gameplay looks fun.
So...I am gonna give RPGs one last try.
Mass Effects especially 2 has become more of shooter with some RPG. Same as Dragon Age 2. Both are trying to attract action gamers but moving too far into shooter or hack and slash, the games are hardly RPG anymore. I think ME1 and DA: O have better balance of RPG and action. Bioware said they are going bring back more RPG back to ME3 because I don't want ME3 to become completely a shooter.
The title may have been misleading. I don't mean for Mass Effect 1 to come to the PS3. I was just cuious if anyone had considered the possibility of importing a Mass Effect 1 save to the PS3 for Mass Effect 2 from Steam. Any idea on whether or not anyone has even thought of this option?
Since Steam was made accessible on the PS2 when Portal 2 launched, I was curious if anyone at Sony or Bioware or Valve had talked about the possibility of buying Mass Effect 1 on Steam (which is already available), and then importing your game to Mass Effect 2 on the PS3?
Anyone know if that's even been a discussion anywhere?
