Fans replace players glitch? Anyone else seen this?

I mentioned this in another post but thought I'd start a topic since I didn't find this discussed anywhere.

No idea how I did this but basically it happened after I finished a game and was in the replay vault.

The CPU had broken up my perfect game with 2 outs in the btm of the 9th with a bunt so I wanted to take some clips from the game.

One clip came out fine but the next clip I went to record (the bunt hit) was really weird.

What happened is that all the players had been replaced by fans. The 3Bman was now some random fan with a funny hat and the pitcher had shorts on.

There were some females in the outfield and my 1Bman was now the soda vendor with a cooler around his neck.

This was weird enough but it carried into the next exhibition game I started and that was with one different team.

The only thing I can think of is that I hit some button combo when trying to record the clips because I wasn't sure at first what I was doing.

I'd love to know how to do this when I want to. In the second game I tried I ended up with a girl as the starting pitcher.

All the atributes stay the same and the umpires don't change, just the players themselves.

I can load the clips I saved to my HD if I can figure out how to do that.

There's a point system in the game that is connected to your profile, in which you get points for things you accomplish in the game.

All game modes give you some sort of points for things like getting 3 hits in a game, or stealing 5 bases, etc. It's kind of like trophies, but points within the game.

Anyway, you can use these points to unlock things within the game (there is a list of unlockables).......and 1 of those things is to have players turn into fans...........

I was wondering if anybody had tried these things yet. Others include players with big heads, players with small heads, a beach-ball sized baseball, etc.... I forget most of them.

But they look pretty fun to try.

You must have stumbled onto that with a button combo like you said, or maybe accidentally selected it from the list?

Good to know, I haven't even seen the unlockables so I don't think I selected it by accident.

I'm glad to hear it is something selectable as it is pretty amusing.

I did post a vid of this on Youtube, not the best clip as I wasn't really sure what was happening but you can see the soda vendor playing 1B and the catcher wearing flip flops.

I've seen the unlockables, but I haven't purchased any because they're all gimmicky - and because it's not clear how you turn them on or off, and I'll be pissed if I buy one (e.g. everyone has big heads) and the next log in all my dudes look like bobbleheads.

yeah I just went into my profile and saw the unlockables myself, I didn't have the play as fans unlocked yet though (still don't have enough pts to do that)

pretty sure you can select if you want them on or off with the square button

big head mode is vry funny! it helped me with fielding because i could tell where the big heads were looking at in a fly ball situation.

ps3 fan.

Wait, I have no idea where this is. Where did you go to see all of the unlockables?

LMAO @ THE ORIGINAL POSTER.. My first basemen was a soda vendor.. HAHA.. I laughed my you know what off when i read that.. Id love to see all these screen shots.. Im sorry if they are glitches though.. Sometimes that can be annoying..
