All stats are irrelvant unless they're taken during actual competitive play like clan battles. Anyone can play well and get a high kdr and lots of ribbons and kills if they spend their time playing in an 8+ man group of tryhards against randoms.

K/D is in effect the efficiency of -everything- you do, because you have to stay alive long enough to do it, as well as make an impact on the other team to justify your presence.

And K/D doesn't say how you are going about staying alive at all, because all that K/D shows you is how many kills over deaths you have, doesn't tell you how this person gets these kills, how frequently they are getting them, where they are getting them.

KPH at least shows how often you are making a contribution where as K/D shows you absolutely nothing aside from the fact you could be hiding behind a redline.

Once again, K/D is no more important than any other meaningless stat unless you know the players play style, in which case I would still take KPH over it.
