Well, you can get a 19" RCA for $99 or a 22" RCA for $129 at Best Buy.
Or you can get a 19" Sanyo from Walmart for $95.
Want to spend more? I bought a 32" Sony for about $350 or so last Christmas. They have probably come down a bit since then.
Incidentally, you don't need 1080p for smaller screens as the image quality just isn't noticeable at those smaller screen sizes.

We had a couple of games like that too. We just backed out of them and tried again.
It almost gets kind of fun to see the lag take over and all the weird stuff happening. You have to laugh at it because you can't do anything about it.

I had this problem when I bought my roxio, before I bought my pvr. So just make sure when looking for a tv, get one with component input.
Yup, hit the nail on the head. 
My TV doesn't have the component input.
So it will be awhile before you get to see some R1 poundin Vids.. Once I sell my car, and buy a new one... Then I'll have some free money for a new TV.
