Uh, isn't that an... un-confirmation? He's stating that it's good that people who use controllers AREN'T up against people with mouses and keyboards.
As a long time Socom player...I have a a lot of questions, but I'll keep it to a minimum of 3...
1.)Is it gonna be possible to have the option to use the original classic view with a 1st person toggle? Please, for the love of God say yes...Options will open the game up to a larger audience, and probably bring back a lot of Socom deserters.
2.) Will there be an option to jump and climb? Can we jump and grab hold of a wall and pull ourselves up? I feel as if that is a stretch from reality, but like you said...Ultra realism isn't healthy... I hope you implement that.
3.) Last but not least... Is there going to be open mics?
While the podcast has been interesting, I have a few things to question:
* Since knifing is supposed to be an insta-kill from behind, even with heavy armor, why is it failing?
* Static meshes still allow being resr'd into. Since this should be a simple fix against the static meshes used, when can we expect the fix released? I would think that it should just be a matter of changing the properties of the mesh to where it's properties are solid and don't allow being res'd to. The obvios solution would to do the same that is done against the player model where the res is away fromthe source target.
* SMG's can snipe? When is the range going to be fixed on this close quarters weapon type?
* Headshots with a large calibur weapon should equal death, more frequently they dont. By this, and I'll use SVER's 50cal as an example, I've seen where it takes 1 shot to kill them and the rest of the clip to bleed them out. If bleedout is dmg based, how is that working as planned? I have seen similar/same issue with other weapons whee individuals take a whole clip to the face and still kill you. Since the head armor is nothing more then for looks, headshot should equal death imo.
*Server capacity - This seems to be a growing concern with the disconnects, hitbox registration, lag, etc. It seems to be a growing problem.
*Group joining game - why does my group continually get split up once the game starts?
