LBP Karting resets progress automatically since last patch

I'm not sure where else to go with this issue. Phone support could not help me. Ever since the most recent patch every time I start up a game of LBPKarting, the game acts as if it was my first time playing it. I get the screen calibration, brightness adjustment, and the opening tutorial. Once back into my pod all progress is lost! Playing a few levels, quitting the game, and starting up the game fresh starts the whole process over.

I've tried deleting all the local content and save game and started fresh. Same problem. It's not keeping or not applying the local saved information.

Help!
