as it stands kz3 looks like what i expect from kz2. and thats enough for me atm
After Killzone 2's sales and lack of longevity - in spite of all the "mainstreaming" from suggestions fished off Neogaf... I doubt the marketing department will agree.
Because I don't think they're going to say: "..but yeah, I agree the dlc maps are so beautiful they're worth playing even though the game is broken, and no one plays the maps online because of lagging bots. And really, look at the animations and the graphics - yes, this is going to be a full scale launch, just because it looks great. Good job, Guerilla, in spite of the game tanking commercially. We don't really care, though!".
Dont listen to flein, he's just a troll. Everything he sais is always negative
Is it untrue?
And will posting support for the official community handlers make their suggestions better?
Remember - the internet forums are extremely narrow. The people posting here are, obviously, at least a bit crazy. Waahoo! In the head, you know, am I right..? lol
So you need to be careful and look at what sort of audience the game really does appeal to.
In the case of Killzone 2, that was a very specific type of gamer who enjoys grinding levels and pwning newbs, over actually playing a good game. It was said then that this was necessary to get more sales. Guerilla Games provided whatever was asked.
And I'm simply pointing out that this demonstrably didn't work out. Not only did it not create a better game, but it did nothing positive for the sales. That you and others authoritatively tell people to laugh it off doesn't change that.
Just because you dont like it doesnt mean others will feel the same, and I wonder why you continue to post here if you hated kz2 and probably will hate kz3 just as much.
You might be right and have some good points regarding the community, however that does not give you the excuse to troll with them. In almost every thread I've seen you post in you always somehow turn it into bashing GG and their handling of the community feedback.
You have a thread already made regarding it, you don't need to be interjecting it into every other post you've made. It makes you look whiney and its damn annoying. When you post in someone elses thread you need to contribute to it and not detract from it.
We get that you hate the community feedback and how GG is using it, no need to make it every post you make. Just put it in a sig for crying out loud!

It's because when Killzone 2 launched, it was a very good game. And a lot of us trusted GG not to do anything crazy because of internet noise. They said they wouldn't. Seb said as much to me in pm. So a lot of us kept quiet, really thinking that no one in their right mind actually would buy the idea that the ten duplicate accounts that spammed the forums actually represented anyone. Because 99% of what was posted really was ridiculous tripe - it just wasn't possible to have a discussion with these folks. It literally was someone spamming the same post over and over and over. So hoping the trolling would die down, we just left.
But what happened?
Someone managed to make it out as if the serial trolls on the official forum and Gaf were representative, and ended up ruining the game, saying that "we did what the community wanted".
So how does this happen? Is it because what likemonkeys did with this thread? Picking out the positive and likeable quotes from a story? Or is it because actual criticism to you is equal to "trolling", so it gets sanitized from the "community feedback" one way or another in favour of one-sentence quips?
The point is that you're not even looking for good feedback. What you're interested in is ditto-noise. And until you've heard that enough to get sick of it, I'm going to continue posting about it.
You have an absolutely perfect point fleinn.
The issue here is how you've gone about preaching this for the past several weeks - almost relentlessly. I am going to criticize the **bleep** out of this beta when I get my hands on it - without remorse, but I am not ONLY here on these forums for that specific job. People are getting the wrong impression of you based on what you've been posting and your general tone.
Continually being negative about not only the community (which is us FYI) but also GG is not going to help your cause.
