Helghast publicily executing Helghast civilains for speaking against the war?
I agree with pretty much everything you said more or less, but this one point really stood out as a "hu?"
They were attacking Vecta, and they were showing their charge on vecta. I'm pretty sure those were Vecta civilians, or POW's, not HG civilians.
But yea, they do kill their own, without hesitation or remorse. But as always, that is not to say that all HG's are bad, don't forget your ally in KZ1, the one Rico LOOVED to pick on and threaten (shame we wont see him again....)
You clearly don't remember killzone 1.

Maybe I’m wrong but that doesn't look like ISAs to me
Also for not agreeing with his emperor..Hakha's brother was killed because he believed his brother's words to be true. That Visari and his generals are wrong to bring about war again.
Visari says:
"Our enemy at home has been reeducated. We've given them, new insists into our cause" (followed by gun shots)
btw i really hate this crappy text box..Where I can't right-click

Thats an ass statement that I "clearly" don't remember KZ1....
Anyways, they don't look like ISA per say, but I remember when I first saw it I thought of them as maybe being saboteurs, especially given how they aren't being made an example of, and they are being killed around military equipment etc... But in any case, I still say they could also be people on Vecta, though I still think they are ISA. Really though, back then, it is hard to say with the graphics etc... as each one of them look identical to boot Both nostalgic, and confusing

LOL, i meant no offense by my statements. But seriously there Helghast civilians.

who knows they could be hakkas (spies) he does says Our enemies at home... i mean if you are against the war but dont do anything about it... how will they know?
also obviously both can be seen as the bad guys... but for me, its the ISA as they STARTED it.
you should know the story....
helghan BUY vekta/helghan independance
Isa+Uca steals vekta (from helghan)
some helghans live their lives others flee (oppressed, and pissed at the ISA... they stole their wealth!)
-helghan that fleed become helghasts/those that said become vektan (well kindove)
years after, when helghasts are finally strong enough they strike back (took years yes, but its still a counter)
ISA beats them, again
Isa wants to eliminate them, attacks the helghasts!... even against Uca orders
The key is the buying... think about it... I sell to you Kz3, than beat you up and take it back...
-you lose the cash
-you lose the game
-you get beat up
if you forget what happened before kz1 (first *recent* invasion, higs may seem as the bad guys)
wonder how the world would feel if the higs won, or at least signed at threaty to their advantage...

This is why i love Kz, and there will never be another one like it. The story has soo much depth to it. IMO both sides are wrong and are right. Its a scary thought..
If you think about it...It’s a -recycle of events.... Earth takes Vekta, b military force. UCA leaves ISA troops to guard the area, until things settle down. Riots broke out...there is an unsettlement amongst the people...Harsh policies were laid upon them…Some Vektans (Yes not Helghast) decided they had enough and left for Helghan...Years pass..Finally trade has opened back up behind Helghan and Vekta...there is a short time of peace...peace is eventually broken...because some felt cheated (and they were) they invade Vekta out of the need for vengeance...not necessity. Most Helghast civilians don't want another war...but there words go un-heard...Helghast troops invade Vekta fought there for a few years... They failed. They retired with a powerful ISA nuke...The ISAs are worried that the Higs will come back and use the bomb against them one day...The ISAs rebuilt what's left of their home planet and military..Their troops are out for blood. ..Every ISA is out for revenge, similar to how the Higs were when they invaded Vekta.
The ISAs worst fear is realized, the Nuke they came to retake has been used against them...Eventually the ISAs defeats the Higs on Helghan and kills their Emperor...ISA realizes that they are in fact outnumbered and are in fact the ones defeated...they realized that Helghast has plans to invade Earth..And it blind rage/hate goes on and on...There is no end in sight for this conflict.

The issue is though, is that most of the story remains in the background. They need to bring it out more, as it is so well done. Seems KZ3 is trying that, and it has me really pumped because of, despite many features I wanted being left out from MP (SP is my favorite part really anyways...)
Sp has always been my favorite thing about kz..Mp is something i love too..but sp is where it's at

Agreed, and it's quite irritating that so many people just play this for MP... I mean that right there is just something that makes me loose all respect for someone, where someone plays a game like KZ, goes on and on about liking or not liking the game, and yet they've NEVER played Sp...
Sign of the times I suppose... a crappy sign of the times

Well look at the all popular COD franchise... People are use to FPS lacking in the SP portion of the game.
But I have to agree, I'm starting to become one of the people who says a game needs to stand on it's single player alone.
