...Wow, the way people are complaining about the controls, you'd think the game's unplayable or something. I'm a female and I'm looking forward to this game. I didn't have any problems with the controls. If people would stop complaining and take their times to replay the demo a couple of times so they can get used to the controls, they'll feel natural.
Oh, and I do plan on getting Fallout 3/Call of Duty: World at War soon enough.

I fail to see why you would be against responsive controls that take the guesswork out of aiming.....................why are you against something that wouldn't make the game worse for you?
I'm not against it. Quite frankly I don't care about the controls. They play fine for me, but if they were more like COD4 it doesn't matter as I play both games.

If an RTS plays different then Starcraft people still play that RTS, if an RPG plays different then Final Fantasy then people still play the RPG, so why is it such a problem for a shooter to be different then the standard run of the mill gameplay?
Yes yes yes....we get it. It's a FPS for people who can't see well. If you get used to these controls and move on eventually....you will have handicapped yourselves.

Honestly, this has nothing to with climatizing to the controls.
Sure the longer you play the more comfortable you feel with the controls.
Nevertheless a little bit of tweaking is needed.
See it this way:
Nobody would complain if the controls were more "fluid".
But lots of people will complain if you don´t change them.
I understand that Killzone 2 isn´t a so called twitchy shooter (that´s great).
But that doesn´t exclude fluid controls...

I don't care anymore. I'll make a decision on whether or not I'll buy the game when it comes to release. This is months after having it on pre-order. I am heart broken by this 'design' decision but that's just the way Guerilla want to go. Hopefully it doesn't damage the game's reputation.
The point is, though, many people from the beta are now having this problem. I don't remember having this complaint during the beta, the controls were good. They were slow, but they weren't operating on a delay like so many seem to be now, including my own.

No problem I'm 32 years old
I also dont get into forum wars.
This is the way I see it,
100% of the people on this board wanted Kilzone 2 to be the defining FPS for Playstation 3
Some of those people were willing to go where ever GG led them and accept and adapt too what they were given
Some of those people wanted to experience a Fps that was as close to perfect as is currently possible
With the concerns regarding the control system its obvious that those belonging to the second group would not be satisfied with the current control system and are therefor extremely disapointed and are now left questioning why they put so much faith in the game.
We are allowed to voice that dissapointment in the hope that GG will implement some sort of future patch to enable us to enjoy the game as much as those who think its perfect.
And lets get real....Nothing will happen before release, a patch will only be released if GG feel that the sales are not what they expected or that the online MP starts seeing a drop in users quickly after launch, only then will a patch be considered.
We can only assume that with the amount of time that the game was in development Everything contained within it will be exactly as GG intended it to be and Im sure they spent weeks discussing how the game should look and play before the final desicion was made. Also someone pretty high up in GG made the final desicion to design the control system this way and to reverse that desicion would damage there credibilty and reputation within the company......in other words there will be no major changes to the control system unless they absolutly have too and that desicion will be made months after release only after irefutable evidence that the control system has seriously affected sales.
They dont need to do anything yet...they will wait, for the moment the Hype will sell the game regardless

I think there is a huge difference between CoD and UT. UT is a classical twitch shooter like Quake. However CoD4 and 5 have weight mechanics, along with modern FPS console games like Battlefield Bad Company. These games are not twitch shooters. As for console games if you look up best FPS control in a console game you will see a picture of CoD4, which is far from a twitch shooter. There is a difference between the style of a FPS game, and good and bad controls. KZ2 controls are flawed, and while i'll still buy the game, I can see how people would cancel their preorders over this

You've gotta be kidding me.
Well GG, if this is the epitome of the gamers you are trying to please, you did a GREAT job.
I need that face one more time, it makes me feel better at least
All of your guys completely out of this world responses is making our point look that much more rational.
