How many people do you think play this game online

I'd say a couple thousand at most for Killzone2 (in the BEST hours).

2k-3k people worldwide.

GG, this is not good.

Then I look for a match, i usually do not get more than 10-15 existing matches rolling. This is for up to 16 players and worldwide setting. I live in the US btw. I'm assuming 32 players is the same amount, but maybe 20-25 matches.

This is with constant refreshing to make sure the matches exist.

For an AAA PS3 title, this is terrible.

, I really wanted to like this game. I've waited for months for a decent update to make this game tactical like a COD-harcore search and destroy, and nothing.

I actually liked Killzone2 more, shooting and aiming was more realistic.

/end rant >.<, hoping I don't decide to resell this one to gamestop for 25$

Re: How many people do you think play this game online

You only see that many games because that's how many are shown, not how many really are.

When you hit refresh, you see a bunch of different rooms.

Rooms fill up extremely quickly (I'm talking about rooms with say already 20 people in) and KZ2 doesn't show you the rooms with 32/32, but you'll get the "Game is Full" Message because a lot of people ARE playing and just simply beat you to it.

The community on this game is big, don't worry about it dying any time soon....

The number of gamers online isn't GG's fault. Sony put the Playstation 3 up at a high price, higher than the other consoles. Of course, the hardcore ps3 gamers bought a ps3. But look at what nintendo did, their console is the cheapest yet almost every house hold has a Nintendo Wii (of course this also has to do with the motion controls too). If the economy was good like in the 90's PS3's would be flying off the shelves even if it was put out at a high price. You didn't see Ford or the other automobile company's raising prices back in the Great depression, did you? NO! Now most of you are probably thinking "**bleep** does this have to do with the online population". Well the more PS3's are sold the better chance of a larger online population. Simple Marketing Economics, I'm 17 years old and im a dumbass and i know this, I don't even know that much about economics.

Many people are expecting a price drop. I know im not. A Company can't mass produce a product that cost them $700 to build and then sell it at $200, your asking to go bankrupt if you do that. Although if the PS3 price drop's more people might consider buying a PS3 and those people might play online.

Re: How many people do you think play this game online

The reason why Killzone 2 doesn't have as many players online as it should because it's all because of one reason! That reason is IGNORANCE! I say this because everyone is so stuck on Call Of Duty that they become blind to any other games. I admit, Call Of Duty is addictive with it's pick up 'n' play controls and its emphasis on leaderboards, among other "appealing" reasons. This leads to those Call Of Duty players wrongfully stating that Call Of Duty is the best online FPS or best online shooter in general. Although it's their opinion, its a very ignorant opinion (which isn't surprising, because most of the people on Earth are ignorant) I say this because great games like Killzone 2 and Socom:Confrontation are being over-shadowed by Call Of Duty's flashiness and ignorant fanbase. Killzone 2 and Socom are both superior to Call Of Duty in Graphics, Audio, Control, and Gameplay. The online gameplay depth of those two games are amazing, they utilize teamwork, variety, and competition to result in Grade A quality

Re: How many people do you think play this game online

People become so stuck and ignorant from Call Of Duty that they say Awesome games like Socom:Confrontation, and Killzone 2 suck without even have had played them before. THATS IGNORANCE!!! If these Call Of Duty fans would take the time to actually play Killzone 2 or Socom, they would see that the games are superior to Call Of Duty. Killzone has an in game competitive community complete with Tournaments, Clan Ladders, Publicity and Advertisement. Killzone 2 even rewards its players with ribbons and medals for playing well. Socom:Confrontation has all those things too, whereas if you want a Clan Ladder match or Tournament on Call Of Duty, you have to go on some unreliable 3rd party website. If you really want global respect, dont go solo and aim for those Cheap Call Of Duty leaderboards. Team up with some friends and create a clan on Killzone 2 or Socom:Confrontation and practice and set up matches.

Re: How many people do you think play this game online

You will have more fun sharing glory with friends on a Clan in Killzone 2 or Socom:Confrontation, rather than having solo glory and even having your closest friends hate you. If you create a clan on Killzone 2 or Socom:Confrontation you will have great times and great memories of fighting to the top of those leaderboards together. Pulling some all nighters on Killzone 2 or Socom:Confrontation with friends doing Clan Ladder matches and Tournaments all while joking around and being friends. Instead of becoming anti social and losing friends because all you want to do is be number 1 on Call Of Duty leaderboards by yourself, trust me. From experience I've had some of the greatest memories ever by playing with a clan on Killzone 2 or Socom:Confrontation and pulling all nighters. It's great stuff man. Sony has achieved perfection in online shooters with Killzone 2 and Socom:Confrontation, and I will be eternally thankful to them. We don't need Activision and their crappy Call Of Duty.
