The graph shows a non-accurate representation of the KZ2 controls, vs how I would like it to be. Normalize the curve a little, and heavily reduce the after touch movement.
I really would like that the different weapons in the game handle differently. With the curve getting steeper as you follwo this list:
1- Shotgun, SMG , Pistol, Sniper, rifle (having the most linear curves)
2- Full-auto rifles
3- LMG (this is where the curve starts to getout of hand)
4- RPG, GL (totally useless to shoot while moving)
Best visual representation to understand all the worded explanations. Put together ABOVE QUOTE with BELOW QUOTE
= UNDERSTANDING THE COMPLAINTS ON THE CONTROL/AIM ISSUE..................................
None of us has access to a PS3 developer kit, so it's hard to define a solution in detailed technical terms. But I'll try to describe what I observe and then define a solution from a user experience perspective.
1. When moving my right stick while aimed in:
A. There's a small area of initial stick movement in which nothing registers...the dead zone
B. Movement then suddenly kicks in once out of the dead zone
C. At that point there's a very tiny area in which the movement feels almost 1:1, stick movement to aim point movement...good stuff!
D. Then suddenly the ratio between stick movement and aim point movement accelerates massively and any tiny stick movement results in huge aim point movement...very bad!
The result of all this is that to aim there's only a tiny area in which stick movement actually registers AND feels responsive at something like a 1:1 ratio. Before that point, no movement, and after that point rapidly accelerating movement.
From a user experience perspective I'm thus VERY aware of having the PS3 controller in my hand and I'm VERY aware of the stick movement and trying to control it. I'm taken out of the game experience entirely and feel like I'm fighting the controls.
In other games with more responsive controls I'm not aware of the controller being in my hand. I'm 100% immersed in the game and focused on the action. My in-game character is a natural extension of my hands. The controls are so natural, so intuitive, that I don't have to think about them at all. They are not an artificial barrier to the entertainment.
KZ2 Controls = watching a great movie on wimpy computer speakers, through dirty glasses in standard definition TV. I'm fully aware of the speakers and the screen.
Other Controls = watching a great movie in perfect 5.1 surround sound in 1080P on a large screen. I'm fully immersed in the story and action and not aware of the hardware.
Look what I found in another thread.haha, late. They fixed that 'problem' last patch. They made the deadzone smaller... a lot smaller..The graph is good though, nice to see someone actually trying to show how they felt about the game without just ranting.
Anyway, down to business. Pending any unforseen problems, early next week patch 1.21 will be released. I'll confirm the timings on Monday. The patch includes the following:
We are also working on the next updates and here are some of the areas we are exploring and investigating for the future patches:

To the OP. It looks like this is your 1st forums or you must give this same post in EVERY other forum you visit because all your complaints can be said about EVERY FORUM for shooters. So heres a tissue Mr. Forum Crybaby, All you have to do is close your eyes and not read what people type.
Defeats the purpose of coming to a forum if you don't read what people type doesn't it?
No, these aren't in EVERY other shooter forum, the Killzone Messhall is actually quite relaxed and free of complainers.
