The fact is, there are a lot of people that don't like the controls. An option to keep the controls the way they are, or, to a more COD style would be the best thing for this game.Insanity. If you really need COD style controls, play COD.
Sparta? No. THIS IS KILLZONE!
Unfortunately, that's what most people will go back to...

message?board.id=killzone2&thread.id=219620 Taking a quote form the article that you linked to.
"10/60ths can be too long, especially when combined with the processing delays in flat panel TVs which can push it up to 12/60ths. 1/5th of a second (200ms) is too long to wait for a gun to fire, and introduces annoying sluggishness when moving around or steering a car."
The delay in Killzone 2 is at least that. There is a video on you tube that one of the members of the forums made that documents the delay in frames.
Also, i found a video of some one who is clearly Lying to Himself. He made this video to prove that there is no Delay in the controls but in the video you can clearly see the delay when he turns left and right.Look at 00:50 and for about 20 or 30 seconds he turns left and right and you can see when he centers the right stick the crosshair keeps moving. And when he changes direction from one side to another you can clearly see him pulling the stick right while the crosshair is still turning left. And this guy is convinced there is no "lag" in the controls. Just proves my point that alot of you either don't see it or are lying to yourselves.

you love keeping this alive huh? Its stupid to try and sway people from purchasing this game because a vast majority find it fun. Let people decide for themselves and stop bickering please.
If someone comments in my thread, i'm most likely going to respond. See......like now.

The best thing is some of the arguments you get.
1.) "This will weed out all of the noobs (i.e. 60-80% of gamers)." YEAH, i'm sure that's exactly what GG wants. To lose 60-80% of their audience/sales/profit so that you 1337 can play together.
2.) "I like the controls it slows that game down to a more tactical pace (MP)." No, the game is a camp fest. Everyone is standing still hiding behind something trying to shoot someone else hiding behind something. You know why? Becuse they have to wrestle with the controls. Just make a run for it, no one will be able to shoot you.
This is a good one i read somewhere recently.3.) "The controls are awesome. I remember in MOH and COD and other FPS i always used to overaim because the controls were so twitchy (i.e. responsive) But in KZ2 the controls are so intuitive i pop headshots left and right." Sooooo....you suck at every other FPS and you're good at this one.....and that means that every other FPS controls sucked, not you.
No i don't need auto aim. I always turn AA off in every other game i play because i think it does more harm than good. I just need the controls to be responsive. Keep it slow, keep it "weighty". But for the love of god, fix the delay. There's delay in everything that happens in the game. Moving, jumping, shooting, menus, EVERYTHING.
Whatever, i'm gonna try to force myself to finish SP and hopefully they patch the MP. If not, the game will probably collect dust until i need money for another game and decide to sell it.
Ok let say a few things about your argument, this is entirely my opinion so take it any way you like.
1.No thats not what guerilla wanted, what they invisioned to do was to create a different experience in first person shooters, by making your player feel heavy and add some realism to the geameplay, now im not saying this is the most realistic game ever, because no game is meant to be, unless its a simulation program or a game based of a simulator.
2.The controls made being slow does not make this game a campfest, sure you can encounter camper in every online shooting game that will never change, but the fact that this game is more of a respawn type game, people that tend to camp its to preserver their KDR. also that statement of make a run for it sure go ahead try it, i can assure you as you run away you will die 8 out of ten times, because i have killed many people that try and run away from me and viceversa, especially being sniped as a run towards and objective or try to get cover to reload my weapon.
3.Now about the controls i feel that they are fine but they just need a little time to get used to, videogaming for me is about learning new experiences and adapt to them, IE getting used to new consoles and their control layouts and just have fun playing. as for saying that this are the best controls for a FPS ever i dont know what to sy about that, but i can say that for me at least every single console FPS handles the same, exept this and unreal tournament 3 every other FPS in a console for me handles the same way wich is why i like KZ2 because its somehow an FPS but they way it feels its like a new experience for me and i can appreciate that.
Now to seal this off this is my final statement. Overall Killzone 2 so far has been a great experience for me it brought a whole new dimension to the FPS genre just by the way the game feels and the features that it has, i cant deny that this game has me hooked, people that say otherwise well honestly its their opinion and thats just fine you will never seek a 100% satisfaction in a video game, no game is prefect either wich is fine because it define us as what we are human beings, bound to make mistakes and just learn from them. And thats all i have to say.

Agree totally,
I'm trying suffer through but gave up tonight. I'm not happy with it. I had more fun with the PSP version. SP is alot of fun but MP is a let down. Thanks for the Best post of the night. I hope they address issue.
