Those of you that are complaining about the graphics, saying they are PS2 quality, did you actually play the PS2? I mean the graphics aren't anything to rave about, but they definitely aren't PS2 quality. Overall the game is still a lot of fun IMO. I just need more time to play it tbh.
Ok.... Dreamcast AT BEST!

Don't complain about 6mb internet for 40$ a month plz. I pay 60$ for usually less than 256kb internet because I'm in a ****** location and have absolutely no access to anything better.
You've got it all wrong and I can't believe I have to keep beating the drum. If you want to pay another $10 per game on top of your $60 per month for internet, then fine, you do that. I happen to protest.

seriously? the graphics are up there with cod. ( the graphics on cod is the only thing i do like about that game.) but the gameplay for homefront is awesome. im not complaining about lack of game modes, cuz i know they will come with time.

The problem that I had with Homefront more than anything is instaed of delivering it's own unique gameplay experience and carving it's own path into FPS history. It is as if the devs made this game using a COD template and checklist. Enemy A.I. characteristics, the grenade indicator and the magical way the game engine uses it to increase difficulty, and even the way the A.I. on harder difficulty levels can hit you from any distance with super accuracy as soon as you peek out. All of these things are directly from the COD series. Also the respawning enemies and choke points feel exactly like the COD single player experience. Basically playing through Homefront to me was like playing through a lower budget version of COD.
Of course THQ isn't pumping as much money into this series as Activision is into theirs, so that is understandable. To me the graphics look fine as texture maps carry more of the burden of fine details than geometry does. Same as in COD The storyline was the saving grace for this game. I very much enjoyed the setting and the characters involved, and found it so much more memorable and impactful than a lot of other shooters I'd played previously.
So I'm stil waiting to play the multiplayer because I bougt this right when PSN went down last month, and I can't register my code apparently until the PS store is back up to play online. Makes me wish that I started playing MP instead of diving into the single player game first like I did.
Edit: Played multiplayer for the first time last night and I'm very pleased with the quality of the maps and their size. Also the spawning is handled very well in this game. I'm hooked after only a few hours of play in Ground Control. Really digging the battle points system too. Snipers aren't even annoying me yet.

this is my cheif complaint with battlefield. even with 24 players, a couple of those maps require more time running around to get to the action, than the action itself. if you have less than 18 players, more than a few of the maps are too big. are you finding enough online players to make this game viable, and how many players is the max?

home front maps are a bit smaller and pacing is a bit faster, i always find 24 and 32 team rooms filled up, some maps seem small because so many players are running around and bullets fly by you at every moment, the vehicals and drones are some of the best features about homefront.

i like the game a lot, MP is kinda repetitive with the maps and i get bored but it helps playing with new people and diffenet paly styles. ive had the graphics drop out and it sucked but it hasnt happened since the network went down in may. some of the people are really tough to play against but the more you play it the better you get at it. just becareful of the damn snipers and helicopters.

got it about a week ago. Overall a very good game. single player is short and i beat it within a day of getting it ( including a full night of sleep and 10 hours at work) but the multiplayer more than makes up for it in my opinion. kinda wish that It had a few more options as far as weapons go, kind of like MW3 is going to be with stackable attachments, and also the ablity to add attachments to the sniper rifles feels pointless to have an 'attachment' slot if it's not getting used. Map sizes are perfect. you can stay out of the action to call in drones if you want or you can get into the middle of it, though it does take a while to memorize the areas that are popular combat areas. as far as bieng 'too big' for SMG's, I really dont think so, some of my highest killstreaks have been with the kriss SMG. it just requires a little different tactic than AR's such as sticking closer to buildings and not making yourself a big target untill you are right on top of the enemy and it's too late for them (hehehe). as far as graphics go they look fine to me, though most of my playing time has been on my bedroom tv, which isnt digital, much less high definition. I've spent time with buddies playing on a 50" Vizio HDTV with the PS3 set up for HD and everything, and it looks a hell of a lot better than HALO, and yet there are very few complaints about those graphics. Honestly, graphics arent a big deal to me anyways. The 720 of this game is more than sufficient for me, long as I can identify friend from foe.

i personally enjoyed the game. i had to get rid of my battlefield bad company two game so homefront helped replace that a little until i get bf3. the campieghn i loved, especially the golden gate battle, and i love how i have to lead the enemy with my gun sight just as you would in reality. the graphics where not the best but in my opinion it made the game give off a depressed feeling which is perfect for how the story of it is set. plus i have had little trouble with hackers.

Wow ppl still playing this game....I bought it day one but only having a few maps it got old real quick. Too bad cause HF had alot of things other games don't and done them right. Btw has there been any DLC???
