Hello PSN community and I would like to ask a question. Now before I ask this question I would like to state that I am mature for my age, (of which I will not disclose) and play many games such as Uncharted, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, Red Dead Redemption, and many more. Could anyone tell me if in Grand Theft Auto IV the bad things such as inappropriate scenes can be skipped and/or avoided, the language muted (while not muting the special affects, gunshots, cars etc.) , subtitles turned on, and can I totally avoid the Clubs? Also, Can you tell me the rate of cursing in GTA IV? Does it occur ALL the time or just when something drastic happens? Is it as violent as any of those games I have listed? What is you opinion on a young person (above 10 under 18)playing GTA and violent games in general? I would appreciate if you could help. Thank you.

there's nothing in gta iv that could be considered any worse than what youd find in red dead. least, imo. They seemed to tone things down a lil bit when compared to san andreas.

Thanks. But also I should have said that in RDR and AC I skipped all innapropriate scenes and muted when neccessary.

how do you know what's innapropriate before you skip it?

I see anything suspicous I either skip cinematic or leave the room.

wow...some honor kid. i would have never bothered.

have you played infamous? It's one of the safest (content wise) open world games your going to find. There is some mild language, but nothing comparable to the rockstar games.

Yes I have played basiclly all the open world games out there except for the GTA's. Thank you for your suggestion but I was actually hoping for a for direct answer.

GTA is pretty violent but you can skip the scenes. And yes u can turn just subtitles but there is a significant amount of cursing. I'm 23 years old and let my 12 year old step son play. As long as your mature as you say you are I see no problem with it. If its an issue with your parents better them let you play then do it behind there back.

if you are offended that easily I would suggest not play GTA

you will hear curse words every other word
