I really want to download GTA SA now that it's out, but does anyone know will saved games from the pS2 work on the ps3 if I transfer them to the ps3 via the memory card?

The PS2 Classics don't use the PS2 Virtual Memory Card the way PS1 Classics use the PS1 Virtual Memory Card.

So I'm pretty sure your PS2 save files won't work with the PS2 Classic releases.

IT won't work, I tried and the files didn't appear in the memory slot

Yep, does suck cause you  have to start from scratch even if you didn't want too. IMO it'll keep you entertained until GTA V comes out

So if it doesnt use the PS2 memory card slot, it literally makes it a PS3 game. Why didn't they input HD textures & trophies if so? This gives us another reason not to purchase it.
