Driving mechanics not the best

11 replies 27 views Edited Apr 27, 2012

Just started playing this for the first time, the other night. Really starting to enjoy the

game, although I'd noticed a problem while driving.

The camera starts to pan down as I accelerate. I find myself having to press

up on the right joystick to get the cam to pan back up. It's not as it continually

does this. It does do it quite a bit though, especially when I enter the car.

yeah I hated that at first, too... but you will get used to it eventually... i was using the stick all the time to correct it, but at some point i stopped doing it that much except for when I am speeding on the bridges and stuff...

but it is a bummer

Yeah, it does kind of suck. I didn't have this same problem with L.A Noire's driving.

Just started GTA 4, my very first GTA game. Enjoyable experience thus far. Think

I've stolen three cars in the game already, and I'm just into the second chapter. lol

I'm surprised I never got into the GTA series. I had a good friend that had San Andreas

on his PS2, and loved it. Had never seen the game or played it however.

There's going to be a GTA 5. Hope it's good!

I'm hoping Sony uploads it to the PS Store in the near future. If reasonably

priced, I'll definitely purchase it.

Will look to see what games multiplayer has, and jump in.

Just curious. Do you meet most of the characters in the side missions,

by completing main story missions? Or can I meet them just by cruising

around, and hitting certain spots on Liberty City?

do you mean mission-relevant characters? like the ones you need for the trophy?

If I remember correctly there are some persons that you need to find for a couple of missions (they are side missions, if you complete them all you will get a trophy - I think its called no more strangers or something like that - its a hidden trophy) - just google that and you can find a map where to go to meet these people but I think they will only be there at certain times of day...

but basically all characters that stand out are met in the missions / side missions, yes

That's what I meant, yes. Meeting characters that I get to know, that will benefit me

as I go through the game. Help me get more ammo, money etc.

I will check that out on google, or maybe just look for a walkthrough, Fabcom.

Thanks for your help!

There are 14 NPCs (non-playable characters) that you can interact with at certain times during gameplay. Some of these characters are first met during the main storyline where you get the option to kill them or let them live. If you choose to kill them, you will not meet them again. However, if you choose to let them live, you can interact with them at certain times while you're roaming the city. And, as others have stated, the game doesn't disappoint.

Sounds interesting, Rojovo.

Does letting these non-playable charachters live, benefit my

charachter in any way?  Or are there no reprecussions for

offing them?

Made a mistake, Fabcom, sorry. My friend had told me last night he didn't have

San Andreas, but Vice City Stories on his PS2.
