Please stop wasting everyone's time asking redundant questions.  This very question has not only been answered about 20x in other threads but has been answered in THIS thread.

A challenge, fun, maybe a bit of a taste for self torture?

My wireless internet likes to disconnect my PS3 alot..

So if I were to get signed out of my PSN than would I be able to keep going?

I'm currently updating the first post to include all sorts of answers and I included the answer to your question in the second paragraph.  Getting signed off of the PSN will not ruin your progress, but you most likely will need to re-do the last mode that you were in.

I got my trophy last night. Big thanks to Auspuff for sticking with me the whole way. And lux_ and Ashley2K for helping me with the team games.

Re: In Search of Glory: Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic Trophy

Dec 22, 2008

I am seriously thinking about attempting this trophy just for the fun/insanity of it.  Luckily I have a second PS3 in a spare room so I can dedicate it to this task without turning it off.  This will hopefully allow me to do this over a few days or even a week instead of one continuous 10 hour session.

My plan so far:

  • Hopefully find some nice people on this forum to help out when they can. (An hour here or there will add up)
  • Play on the public servers to try and get as many wins as i can when I don't have somebody helping me.  I will host to force the maps I need.  This will be hit or miss because I will probably only win 10 to 20 percent of the time (based on my winning ratio 3 months ago) and people will not want to play the same race over and over if I keep loosing so I will mix it up a bit and just keep a record of the races I win.
  • Put the PS3 on a UPS in case of intermittent power failures even though I rarely get them this time of the season.
  • Never quit the game.  I will quit out to single player and pause the game when I can not play.
  • Log out of PSN when I want to play on the other PS3.  Only one can be logging in at once.  Based on info in this thread logging out of PSN might still be ok as long as you don't quit the game.

Anyone see any major faults with this plan?

If I do this it will probably be over the holidays so if anyone would like to dedicate an hour here or there over the holidays to help me out please add me.  Please .  Likewise if someone else needs an hour here or there then add me too.  I will not be able to play a 10 hour session though so I can only help with your journey in shorter chunks of time but hopefully others can fill in the holes.

Btw... has anyone got a response from Take Two on this Trophy issue?  I sent a support request about it on the 18th but haven't received a response.  They were pretty quick with the Midnight Club 1080p screen corruption bug so I was at least expecting to get some kind of reply back on it within a few days.
