the picture posted is one of 17 cars that i have with the race model upgrade.  i would like to know a honest answer if anyone can provide it.    How many cars are there in gt5 with the race model upgrade i would like a honest total please? please repost on this tag thanks.

Welcome to the GT5 Forums Community... if you would have searched this forum, you would have found your answer as there are many threads on this topic. There is also Tome with a master list of ALLthe cars in GT5; Including the cars that can be race modified.

There are 17 total premium cars that can be race modified. No standard car can be race modified.

5. Chevrolet Camaro SS '10

6. Dodge Challenger R/T 70

8. Honda Integra Type R DC5 04

9. Lexus ISF '07

10. Lotus Elise 96

11. Lotus Elise 111R 04

12. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR 05

13. Nissan Silvia (s15) '02

14. Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI spec C Type RA '05

15. Suzuki     Cappuccino (EA21R) '95

16. TVR     Tuscan Speed 6 '00

thanx for the info,  as i stated i already have all 17 upgraded cars i bought those right after i got all gold on lic test. i was hoping there were more cars with this upgrade this truly bites the big one.  what happened to the old gran-turismo where if you wanted a race car you had to build it from scratch and you had 2 or 3 choices of paint schemes and race designs. oh well maybe they will patch it and we will some new cars to tinker with.  anyway thanx again, guys i appreciate the info.

That's called GT2.

Which is still available used for under $10. If your PS3 is not Backwards Compatible, PS2s are also available for not a lot of money. Then you can truly be happy.

swrv ,    don't you have anything to do besides pick on me......lol  you should send me friend invite so we can race sometime.  i'm trying to get the gt staff's attention and maybe they will drop another dlc car pack with race mod cars. one can dream right, plus 10 bucks for gt 2 is appealing since i still have a ps2 but i try not to live in the past plus the graphics of the old would make me miss the HD of the new gt.

I'm certainly not Pickeling on you. I was making a serious suggestion. It's cool to revisit the old school GTs. It will make you appreciate the new one a bit more. The development staff doesn't just take random suggestions from one racer and implement them.

i know that 1 person cant change the gt programmers minds but 214 people have looked at this. if enough people look and we can maybe take a vote, maybe that will sway gt to give us more cars that we can use the race model upgrade on.  if anyone who reads this thread likes this idea please voice your opinion..  would you in the community like to see more cars with the race model upgrade. yes or no , please speak up so that we can be heard.

I don't agree, but whatever an individual has to offer has to match what PD wants to do or needs, too.

if enough people look and we can maybe take a vote, maybe that will sway gt to give us more cars that we can use the race model upgrade on.

I'm sure that PD knows we would like more race modded cars, but they are making cars a bit differently, now. The recent Academy cars and Kaz's 24-Hour car are good examples of them taking an existing car and giving us a somewhat modified version of it.

It may not be exactly what you want, but maybe that's what we get.

How we get there is different now.

PD is also working on GT6, so I don't have high expectations for too many more GT5 cars.
