The lovely, and I use that term loosely (wretch) SVT Mustang:

Was working on the Plymouth Superbird last light a bit.

She's going to be a bit tough, but she did lift the front wheels.

Should make the Chevelle level anyway... lol..!

I promised a friend I'd work on the Dodge Charger this afternoon, so it's off to do some runs before dinner.

Re: Wheelie cars

I grow up in a drag racing family. I need to do somethings before I would take my El Camino down the track. I plan to turn my Chevelle in to a 427 and TH400 car. My Dad grow up at OCIR and took me to Carlsbad & TI raceway park. He has a '64 Chevelle. 396 w/400. It's a 12.30's car. One seat belt in the back, it was for my car seat.

The poor car has been setting ever sane Brotherhood (TI) closed in '97 ish.

Same here. My family has been drag racing for 3 generations now Smiley Happy my dad had a 72 Vega with a 427 in it that did a best of 11.27@131mph. My dads cousin Tim runs a '32 Ford C body altered dragster. That biznatch is scary fast. My dad doesn't talk to him too much anymore, but last I heard it was in the low low 9's with a sprayed to heck 383 stroker. I HAD a 92 Camaro RS 25th Anneversary with a bullet proofed 383 stroker with the Garret in the garage ready to go on the car. Then, the guy that was doing about 65 in a 25 mph school zone decided to rearrange the rear end of the Camaro for me...I have the pictures on disc somewhere and I'll try and post them, but suffice to say, the tail lights were about where the back seats used to be Smiley Sad I miss that car so frickin much.

In all actuality, that one was pretty cooperative. I figured I had to do something with it..

This one on the other hand was a bear, but is now tamed successfully..:

I don't know what it is, but every Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge that goes up has the same nasty habit...

http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h175/antracer/GT5%20Pics/Wheelie%20Cars/GreenCuda5.jpg

The settings aren't any different than any other car. The Mopar's just love to grab a side and run away from you.

It can happen at any time, in any gear at any place on track. It doesn't require bumps or grass or anything else.

http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h175/antracer/GT5%20Pics/Wheelie%20Cars/GreenCuda7.jpg

Love the rear "axle"...

I was able to stand the Cuda up and run it through 2nd, 3rd and 4th and then gently drop her down in 5th.

It was rather nice compared to some of the cars tendency to just drop and bounce the front end.

Unfortunately, it was 1 or 2 runs that would go straight out of many. Most times it was like this:

http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h175/antracer/GT5%20Pics/Wheelie%20Cars/GreenCuda8.jpg

And then it was hold on as it went for the wall or the rail.

But when it went straight, it was a fun car to run down the stretch.

http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h175/antracer/GT5%20Pics/Wheelie%20Cars/GreenCuda1.jpg

The back end also made one of those pumpkin faces after a few runs.

Each time it went up, it came down a little happier...

Here's a car we all know, one of the easiest to get off the ground...:

http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h175/antracer/GT5%20Pics/Wheelie%20Cars/OnlineTVR2.jpg

The difference is that these were taken from an ONLINE lounge session. That's right, online lounge.

SnakeEyes427 was there, and her car was also doing wheelies, but I couldn't see her car doing them, either online or in the replay. Instead, her car looked like it was trying to mess it's diaper. It was really weird. Her car would go by at full throttle, pushed all the way down front and back, grunting along like a dog sniffing for a convict. It moaned as it went by, straining against everything under the sun to barely move.

It seems the lobby/lounge doesn't know what to do with the car and doesn't know how to display it. It has the same problem with flips, rolls and jumps. There's an over riding imperative to display every car level, like it's on the road surface no matter where it is. When you jump, the car levels out and goes straight, landing on the 4 wheels, compared to nosing over and rolling over like it does in practice track mode.

Hopefully someday we'll have some better physics online to work with.. Till then, pics are all the evidence you can see outside of doing it yourself or viewing someone's replay file.  At least we can take the pics. Seeing them at all is better than not seeing them.

Dan, the Cuda looks wicked standing up like that Smiley Wink personally, I enjoy the "wild ride" cars. Makes life interesting lol

Snake...yeah, I was very young when he had that car. He said that they "shoe horned" that 427 into the Vega Smiley Happy He killed it when I was like 2. The right slick broke loose at about 125 mph and he hit the wall and went through the traps at 115mph, car on it's right side, backwards, and slightly on fire lol He was fine Smiley Happy

Yes, they work just like in GT Life mode and you can take pics of both cars up at the same time.
