Re: The Essential GT Car List

Aw, nuts.  It just occurred to me that my last nominee broke one of the rules:

"Cars should be as manufactured or raced.  No personal modifications.: Shown!"

Good Lord, I've just posted my very own...

Uh hey, Grinder5150, you need to put some explanations about the 2013 Viper GTS or your pick won't be nominated...

And continuing my quest for vintage F1 cars:

The 1964 Ferrari 158:

File:Ferrari 158 F1 1964.jpg

Category: Formula One
Constructor: Scuderia Ferrari
Designer: Mauro Forghieri
Predecessor: 156
Successor: 1512
Chassis: Aluminium semi-monocoque with semi-stressed engine
Front suspension: Double wishbone, coil springs over dampers, anti-roll bar
Rear Suspension: Lower wishbones, top links, twin trailing arms, coil springs over dampers, anti-roll bar
Engine: Ferrari 205B, 1,489 cc (90.9 cu in), 90º V8, naturally aspirated, mid-engine, longitudinally mounted
Transmission: Ferrari Type 543/C, 6-speed manual

The Ferrari 158 was a racecar made by Ferrari in 1964 as a successor to the V6-powered Ferrari 156 F1 that had dominated in 1961 but become outdated by 1962. As with the British competition, it had a V8 engine. John Surtees won his only Formula One Driver's World Championship in it.

Ferrari won the 1964 World Championship by competing the last two races in cars painted not in the traditional Rosso corsa but in white and blue,as these were not entered by the Italian factory themselves, but the US-based NART team. This was done as a protest concerning arguments between Ferrari and the Italian Racing Authorities regarding the homologation of a new mid-engined Ferrari race car.

look i dont want to be that guy or anything thats a let down but how do u know if grand turismo is gonna actually look at this page and pick some of these cars for their next car pack. you should find that out or somthing so u dont just sit here and waste your time.

im with everyone on this i deff think some of these cars need to be added to the game and i know grand turismo should do it cause they would make millions off of adding a bounch of new cars to the game.

Well guys it looks like Mr. Yamauchi's '12 GT-R (R35) 24N  will be in the New Gran Turismo 5: Academy Edition. So we will not be getting it in the GT5 that we are playing now. An the new title will not come out in the US yet., an there's no date set for it's US release.

http://www.gtplanet.net/gt-asian-championship-2012-new-car-shown-in-gran-turismo-5-daiki-kasho-live-...

Edit: There is a release date for the UK version and It will be released for PS3 on September 26th. An it looks Like I was rong it will be for the GT5 that we are playing now. (Gran Turismo 5: Academy Edition) will be and update like "Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition" was.

Ok so my feeling it that this maby a DLC released for those that have the first GT5 and the newer GT5 XL Edition as well as for those buying a new GT5 AE title.

But we will see with time! Smiley Tongue
