Re: The Essential GT Car List

I'd like to request not a single car; but a class of racer sorely lacking in pretty much ever race sim I've tried.

Where are the Gran Prix Formula cars 1960 - 1980?

How about some of the iconic 1970's Can-Am cars?

And no, I will NOT say the "P" word

Photobucket. lol

Re: The Essential GT Car List

So which is it?  We're going to make you work here Ed.  Be specific.  You can nominate more than one car, but please give us a bit more to go on.

Thanks.

EDIT:  Format your nomination similar to the other posts.

Re: The Essential GT Car List

Think I'll nominate the 1970's class of Gran Prix cars. I really think that to include only one or two of these cars really doesn't make sense from a competition standpoint. The same can't really be said for the Can-Ams. They would be a blast in quite a few events!

AAhhh, the Tyrrel 6 wheeler!

This '70's icon debuted in 1976, much to the dismay of the competing teams. The technology was banned by the F1ruling body in 1983. March, Williams, and Ferrari all experimented with their own designs; but none ever raced.

There is only one six-wheeled car still available. The Covini C6W is bulit in Italy to this day.

Re: The Essential GT Car List

One more notable car to include, and I promise to be quiet.

The 1967 Honda RA273 or RA300 F1 cars. Here's the RA273.

RA273

The 273 was used in the '66 and '67 seasons, while the RA300 debuted midway through the '67 season.

The RA300

RA300
