Yes sir. We started out just using Stingrays. We toped out at 250 while doing some heavy bump drafting. That was pretty impressive. We were just trying to speed it up a bit. And with no tuning allowed, our options were limited. So the Vettel's were the next choice.

Cool,  I ran against other Stingray's as well with not a lot of luck since a ran it alone.   Maybe i can get sum of my friends together to help me push the limits like you guys did.  Again props for your ingenious efforts to push the vette past what they thought we the drivers couldn't.   I also want to thank you for testing as you did, and letting the rest of know your results.  The gear issue is one i hope they address,  or is this the final settings for the actual car.  If so that type of engine run-out is highly impressive for any car or racer.   I wonder if there are plans in the works for a race model stingray.  You try my challenge at Daytona under A-SPEC / Pro series / supercars.  if you do post times.

I find it interesting that the C7 Test Prototype (the covered one) edged out the Corvette Stingray Final Protype in every category except Max. Speed on the Route X tests.

I did get it into 6th gear on the Max. Speed test, and hit 209.1 mph.

pickle, we weren't using the vettels to boost the vette's performance so much as to see what the top speed of the car was when at the top of 7th gear.  we just wanted the number Smiley Very Happy

looks nice, for a drop-top.  Personally I think most cars look better w/ a roof.

Convertible looks really nice, and I love the metallic paint. I can't wait to see more of the colors available on the production models later this year. To point out that PD gave us a car that they took the burlap off is an understatement.  The car is basically the same as the covered prototype, with the exception of the transmission.

Albeit, the comments lean towards the car's design mostly, the important factors that PD failed to address was the ability of the player to modify the suspension, the gearing, and adding racing parts as is possible with other concept carsin the game.   While I know that the production models aren't out yet, is seems odd that this smaller engine has the ability to out perform the '06 stock Z06 and challenge the bravado fo the mighty '09 ZR-1.   What was PD thinking?   Notwithsranding that the 2.10 update literally screwed up just about every FR car in the game regarding PP values,  the '14 Corvette is NOW like the out-performing Honda NSX type R '04.  Why dos PD continue to screw these things up?  It is a mystery. the thing about not tuning it is surely a licensing thing, as most prototypes don't come to GT with full tuning, and GM probably did not want the capability to showcase the car in GT5 in a manner that is not actually showcasing the car as it is.  That is also why we can't paint or wheel the car.  they want pics taken in GT to be representative of all the branding they are doing with the car gearing up for its actual release.

that may not be how either of us wants it to be, but it is sound business.

Traditional round taillights will cost about $3000.

OK, it seems the admins blocked the URL changer. The original URL had a censored word, so I tried to bypass that. Take the hypen out of the link below.
