Re: Sony & Gran Turismo Devs.............. Enough Already!!!

May 6, 2010
We've been to the moon. We're shooting for Mars and beyond here. It takes longer.

GT1 & 2 were Sputnik and Vostock 1.
GT3 was Apollo 11, GT4, all the subsequent moon trips.

Also, other games have exceeded the 10 year development cycle, and are still highly touted, like Starcraft II.

Also, the moon landing was faked. Smiley Tongue

Apparently, PD puts more design time into making their cars than the manufacturers originally did, plus not only are PD making all of the cars, but they build the worlds they drive in and a whole bunch of other things for a changing electronics environment, too, so it's no wonder that lots of time is needed.

With the recent increase in marketing in Europe, they seem to be getting closer for GT5 now, with some sort of a target timeframe in mind. They just haven't let us in on the big secret yet.

Hopefully they announce something at E3. I just hope Sony and PD learns from their marketing mistakes and refrain from stringing along their fanbase. Nothing wrong with creating hype and excitement with news and details of a game a year out, but after two or three years........... it gets a little annoying

Yamamuchi and the rest of PD are simply genius at what they do........................... there timing of development to coincide with marketing is way out of whack though

IDK, but there's like truckloads of lists of vehicles for the upcoming GT5 game. Plus, I think many of the fans wants the original tracks to be in it as well, turning them into crystal clear 1080p. Maybe PD is aiming to feature at least 10,000 vehicles?

You can safely ignore any car lists except for the ones, such as calvins48's, that are based on cars already seen in videos and demos, etc.

The rumour of 10,000 cars is just wrong. Ignore it completely. It's based on a wish list, too.
