Re: Seasonal Events Honda Civic Race!

Does anyone else other than me seem to be having difficulties getting gold in all the races of this event?  I'm struggling to say the least.  I got gold on Tsukuba and Trial Mountain races only.  I got 2nd on Autumn Ring only 2 car lengths behind, I placed 4th on Stage Route 5 way behind, and I placed 4th custom track Eifel.

I realize this is an expert event but it should still be obtainable, I think what is holding me back is not finding the right car setup to let me go a bit faster through the turns to make up time.  Would anyone care to share some suspension setups to help me out please?

Is the car we win already in the game?  I don't own it nor do I think I've ever seen it in the garages.

Thanks

The Gathers Drider Civic Race Car is already a car in the game and available in low miles in the used car section. I will send you a tune as soon as I get home this evening if you still need one. Which of the Civic's do you prefer? The '04 is closest to the DC5 Integra, which is a rocketship.

Everything else but Clubman was easy to gold for me, still need to try something else for that track to get it gold too.

Just bought brand new Civic Type R '08, and just bought things that didn't increase PP. Just made supension bit stiffier from behind and slight transmission tune.

Though there are categorized as expert races, I don't find them as hard as some other series we saw so far. Did 1st on Tsukuba and Trial Mountain at the first try each, reverse Stage 5 gives me some challenges since I don't really know that track, which is fun.

My advice for the suspension settings is positive toe in front and less at rear (+5;+15). This is because FF cars don't turn as easily as RWD ones. Therefore you want to kick the rear a bit to attack corners, doing smoothly though, as others said.

And yes, I like the events with tire restrictions. Otherwise it's boring, I find.

Lord_Beelzebub. Yes, I too am having trouble with The Clubman Stage/Route 5 (Backwards yet) race.  See my post on Wanda_Lust post above.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

one suspension trick that works with FF cars is the following... bastardized from something Dan_Zitions posted for the first Fiat 500 Expert Seasonal race....  I haven't tried this new civic race yet, but I will take a stab at it this weekend and post a tune for you all to try if you still need one.

These are not exact numbers, but try to duplicate the same sort of theme I'm putting here.

lower front, higher rear

more spring up front, much less in rear

less camber up front, a lot in rear

positive toe up front, negative in rear (this is optional and may not work for all cars)

what that does is makes the back-end steer some so that the front tires can focus on making the car go.

@Lord_Beelzebub from reading you first post I can only say this: After most of the online gamers complained that the events weren't hard enuff. So PD made some harder than otheres. I my self like them they way ther were, so PD gave us what the majority of complainers wanted.

I now race up to the hard tracks and race for secend. Knowing there's just no way to win, I race on many of the older races. (Edit: An I just buy the Prize cars of flips level tickets to get what I want.

I'm not complaining that they are hard and giving me a challenge, I prefer a challenge, I'm just asking for some assistance with my car setups as it seems no matter what I do I can't seem to turn faster lap times.
