Re: Seasonal Events Honda Civic Race!

I'm using the Civic Type R '08 @ 415 PP.

I won on the first & third tracks on the first try.

Autumn Ring took 2 or 3 tries. Forgot to change gears on the first try, but just went for it anyway. LOL Smiley Very Happy

SS5 Reverse is giving me a little trouble. Best so far is 2nd. place, just over 1 second behind leader.

Haven't tried the custom track yet.

Havin' a blast with these. Smiley Happy

I beat all these with the premium '08 Civic type R at 415pp on the first try. Then last night on Deep Forest I decided to take it back on the track and see how low I could go. The lowest PP I got and won was at 380pp.

The Civic 08 comes a bit nose heavy for my taste,  60---40 I think. First thing I did was strip all the weight and add it back where I wanted it. I haven't nailed the tune yet but it was a start.

Here is the tune I used to ace all 5 races. I hope that this helps you out if you are in need of a good car & tune.

2008 Honda Civic Type R

Stage 3 weight reduction 200kg ballast 51% f 49% r (+47)

Mid Range Turbo 209 hp, 208 ft/lb torque (70.8%)

Comfort soft tires

Ride Height F: 0 R: 0

Spring rate  F: 8.0 R: 9.3

Damper Ext F: 7 R: 9

Damper Comp F: 7 R: 9

Anti Roll F: 6 R: 7

Camber: F: 1.8 R: .8

Toe: F: +.01 R: +.03

LSD: Initial: 10 Accel: 28 Brake: 8

Ballast: 200kg +47 F: 51% R: 49%

Trans: Top speed 112 (157)

Final: 4.508

1st: 2.905

2nd: 2.119

3rd: 1.622

4th: 1.296

5th: 1.079

6th: .937

Solid enough you almost forget you're on comfort soft tires. The key to Clubman Stage 5 is the esses, so keep as smooth a rhythm as possible to make up time through them.

Used your tune, best still 4th.  Car handling better but need to pick up 5 seconds for Gold.  Will keep trying but it might be that this one is too tough for me.  Many thanks and appreciation for your help, I am getting better.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Gear down only in turn 1 then barely let off in the esses staying in a gear higher than you think you need. Gently accelerate at the start of the corners to help you turn. You can make up 3 seconds per lap right there. I know you can do it.

Down to 3.557 seconds behind.  Will try for gold again tomorrow.  This particular race is humbling for me.  I appreciate all the help/tune and tips.

BANG.  Thank you very much for your help, tune and advice.  I finally got Gold but it took me running it many, many times.  I actually received a car for getting All Gold in the Civic Challenges.   After I beat  the Stage 5 night race (backwards) the first time I tried again immediately and finished 4th hehe.  I also want to thank you, xxBoxFan and the others for your help and encouragement.   There are a lot of helpful folks on this Forum and I am glad to be a part of it and GT5.   I will probably never be an Expert Racer but at least I didn't quit like I was orignally going to do.  Thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped.  Smiley HappySmiley Happy

Correction, I got the car for running the track  100 times or more not for Golding all events.  Sorry for the mistake.
