I was excited when this popped up last night, not for the prize stuff (none of which I need) but anything on the Nurburgring tends to be fun.  I figured there was a RWD car now under 400pp that would be fun to run, I grabbed a Z4 which is allowed.  So I went to do the 8-lap at A-ring mini ... and saw skid recovery force is locked on.  Smiley Indifferent

Yeah I to saw that the FR was locked on, an for those of us in larger and heavyer rear wheel drive vehicles. Need that rear slide to make it around sharp corners fast. That's why it's hard for me to beat that last track, it has so mean short and sharp corners.

Any way I'm starting to love driving on the full nurburgring in my little tvr v8s. An that's what will keep me interested in this race series. Smiley Happy

I see there are two cars you need to avoid to win: Focus RS and the Mini Cooper S '07, if any of these car's are in the lead some of us will only get secend. look to see if the lead car is the Honda civic (EK) an if it is then race. An you'll fine that you can catch up to it. An one othere thing leave your Toe set to 0.20, this will give you a better wheel spin and slide.

An I to dont care about the Lv 0 ticket. I just what to run and have fun doing it!Smiley Tongue

The first thing that I thought of when I started these was all of those lovely children who just got GT for the first time in their lives, for last Christmas. They never passed a car in their lives, let alone steer a real one.

Yeah, I don't think this one was intended for just the pros or experienced players.

That last custom course would be a shocker for them, however. Welcome to GT. Smiley Very Happy

I wonder why this seasonal event has the 4200mm length restriction in place but the A-Spec mode version doesn't...

I think that PD wanted to give us some type of handy cap, it didn't stop me this time.

And therein lies the problem, according to PD's own event description "These are expert level races for compact cars.." yet they force everyone to use a driving aid that (according to their description) is "for beginners" .  Don't get me wrong I've got nothing against beginners and I'm certainly no expert but it really smacks my giblets when pull stuff like this.

If they want to make an easier race for beginners that's cool but at least identify it as such, have SRF or any other driving aid enabled from the get go but at least give us the option to disable them.  All it needs is a simple note like "This is a beginner level event, some driving aids are enabled by default that more proficient drivers may wish to disable before starting the race"  and it would be fine.
