This is exactly why i liked RedKtr now locked post, no offense to C1, i know why you have to keep things on lock(so to speak).

Thanks for the support animal, I think I know why it got locked but am not going into that right now.

For the OP, have you not been following the threads on here for the last 2 weeks?

The delay was due to a security firmware update that had to be applied to the game disc which threw it out of the loop for it's projected release date.

One other thing... It would really be appreciated if people would stop with the Multiple/many delays garbage since GT5 has only been officially delayed twice (March release for Japan and now the  Nov 2 release date)

we now return you to your regularly scheduled delay.

This is what a mod named Cobra1 posted in the Delayed thread that can be found around the ninth page.

Discussing the recent events is one thing, but when flame wars ensue because neither side is willing to listen to the other, the topic must be closed.

Here's a list of a few of the delays many are upset about.  To flame others and saying the game has only been delayed once seems to point to a lack of knowledge of current events.

I wasn't telling anyone how to act. I posted the entire message and thought the context would be understood. This entire thread is about delays and, as the mod stated in the post I quoted, there have been more than a single delay. I should have added an addendum, that is my fault and I was inconsiderate in not having done so. But, again, why are people ganging up on the original poster? Be considerate. I say that as a person, and not as a mod.

The fact that this is the now the 5th Holiday season and we're only now getting a full Gran Turismo game is absolutely pathetic. This is PlayStation's biggest franchise and should've been widely available long time ago!

I've never seen such pathetic management of a big franchise before. Activision doesnt mess around with CoD release dates.  RockStar doesnt mess around with GTA release dates.

Gran Turismo is supposed to be Sony's crowned jewel. So why are they treating it like an afterthought? There are millions of upset GT fans who have lost faith in Sony because of the poor management behind GT5 and its release date. I know games need to be polished but it's been a very long time since the last GT was released. Polyphony is a Massive development team and they've said long time ago the game was ready to be released! This issue is becoming a joke, making Sony look bad, and pissing off their loyal customers.

Reply here if you agree!

I agree with you to a point.  The disappointment comes from the fact that the delay was probably realized long ago.  I am not one to complain about delays, if I know about them well in advance.  Having said that, is you are Sony loyal, then this is not going to make toss out my 140+ games and invest in another system.  The fact is, it happens.  Now, what will annoy me is if the final release has more issues than impressive moments.  I managed to get one of the collector editions and I would hate to have a lack-luster game that I had to wait longer for as well.

Ok I understand now, no problem. BUT, if you read the links that are there, there are NO specific dates in ANY of those articles, just like all the other gamer magazines have been doing for the last 5 years with their speculation and supposed delays of the game.

No OFFICIAL date for the game was given until this year for the March Japan release (first official delay) and the Nov 2 release date (second official delay).

GUNSOFDAPATRIOTS, I'm not writing this to make you upset. I'm really not. Unfortunately, Activision rushed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The Doctor: "Sarah, Jo, Can you hear me?"
Sarah Jane Smith: "The key is almost ready."
The Doctor: "Listen to me, both of you. I want you to remember."
Jo: "We are doing it. That's the trouble."
