PP increases by 1 pt. after a race

8 replies 455 views Edited Sep 29, 2012

I've noticed frequently -- in Seasonal races -- my PP increases by one point after a race. This is especially noticeable when I've maxed out my PP in accordance to the regulations of the event.

Anyone know why this happens? Just curious. Thanks!

If its not fully broken in, ( you need 200 miles on the clock ) the HP and PP increase slightly whilst driving.

from what i've gathered,  with a new car, as you break in the engine, you gain horsepower, thus increasing PP.

once the breakin period is done this will not happen anymore.

... and then if you keep driving it, it will start losing HP (& PP) until you give it an oil change and/or engine rebuild from GT Auto.

Actually, an oil change is the first thing I do to any new or used car. It will give a little extra HP to even a brand new, never driven car. Smiley Wink

Apparently sometimes it can take longer than 200 miles to break in a car.  I just had my 69 Camaro jump from 500 to 501 PP and it's done 676 miles.

Edit:  just did the same thing, three races in a row.

WOW!!! I was puzzled about this too, and was complaining because I had to lower HP before the next seasonal race. Thanks for the info fellow GT5'ers.

I once made a thread detailing how GT5 applies distance and wear and how it may affect you, it appears the transistion back to Lithium ate it.
