Amazon has the Playseat for $250 and the Playseat Evolution for $300, both offer free shipping. For me in California there’s no tax from Amazon..the shifter add-on is like $25-30.

Has anyone tried the bob earl racing seats?  www.bobearlracing.com  The guy that makes them used to race, and devised a setup based on his preferences.  It's not exactly cheap at $299, but it does look well made.  I'm still on the fence about whether to make one or buy one...

The Bob Earl seat looks cool and all, but having to be right on the floor is way too low.  The PlaySeats will lift you up a bit.  If Bob could design his seats to bring you up so you won't be looking up at your TV, that would make his seat much better.

Well, for some people, the lower seat might be better. Like, at home, my tv stand is very low. So, I'd love a Bob Earl Racing seat. But, I can't afford one. So, I'll just keep using what I have been until I can get around to making myself a good one.

You could buy a coffee table for 20 bucks and remove the legs...

i was making a design on paper... and ... yeah too much to do... and i found a playseats evolution (SP?) for 250buks... like the other person have said... the evolution does not come with the shifter right? everywebsite i check it does not display what comes in the box, so i guess shiffter thingy is optional.

GT5P is comming out in December (hopefully for US) so my Bday is on dec 20th few days after the intended release.... so i might just end up buing a solid evolution chair + the shifter thingy for my bday.
i cant wait.

ive seen that bob earl seat, its cool that its low to the floor since my TV stand... is not very high... but if you complain about being too low... get few blocks and stick it under the seat to evelated it. .. easy lol

Has anyone seen or tried the gamester gamepac?  I've seen it around, and it's only about 40-50 bucks in places.  I don't think it has a shifter, or even paddle shifting, which I'd use.

If anyone has used it, maybe some pros and cons would help me decide where to get it?

I only have a ps2, and no wheel.  I'd like the GT4 wheel (force feedback, shifter, and three pedals, not sure which one that is) but I can't really spend over fifty bucks on something like that.
