New Seasonal Event - Lamborghini

77 replies 3107 views Edited Aug 30, 2012

Is anyone else having trouble picking the right car to use , enabling you to win this race ?

I've tried ALL my Lamborghinis ( I have them all except the Aventador ) & still can't take first in any race.

Is this a ploy to force us to purchase Car Pack 3 for 6 bucks just so we can get the car we need to take the event ? It seems that way to me . If so , I think that's a pretty low blow to us faithful . If thats the only car that can win , they should put it in the online dealership so we can get it with game creds instead of our hard earned real cash .

If anyone out there takes first with any of the Lambos please post which one . I'd love to be proven wrong , but I smell a scam to get more money.

I haven't tried the new events yet ( haven't been online in a week ) but I cannot possibly believe your claim that PD is trying to scam us. Have you stopped to think that maybe, just maybe you aren't that good at driving? Definitely the seasonals have been getting tougher ( depending on if someone chooses a lesser car or a lower pp setting to earn more money ) but scamming? That's a new one...

I realize that the seasonals are tougher & I respect that. I always thought they were too easy. As to my driving ability I'm a lvl. 40 & have been for some time . Have taken Gold in EVERY Seasonal Event . Have 20 mil. game credits , & **bleep** near every car in the game !

I like the fact that you have to figure out what combination of tuning i.e. different turbos to meet the pp. to qualify . Its a challenge in the new events . Thats why I stated " I hope someone can prove me wrong ."

I will Prove you wrong in a little while. I haven't looked at the new seasonal but I'm certain PD would not pull a stunt like that.

Keep practicing and maybe search for a good tune for your car. Try the tunes on GT5Tune they have some good ones over there.

No, it is not a scam at all. Infact, it seems like PD have been listening to it's more hardcore fan base and ramped up the difficulty to a level that many people had been asking for.

I have tested and won every race in every Lambo, and as a matter of fact, found the Aventador the slowest of the lot. With the way the car is and it's PP measurement, it is slower on the straights compared to the other Lambo's at the same PP, and the handling does not make up for it enough.

Edit: Don't forget, this seasonal is specifically listed as being "Expert Level", hence it's difference compared to your usual walk-in-the-park  seasonal event.

Yep, Not a scam at all. I just jumped in the Gallardo and beat Rome on my first attempt. I guess i had a decent tune on the car but it was an easy win. I was in the lead midway through the 4th lap.

If you're having trouble with these events I would recommend trying Skid Recovery Force. This assist might be that extra boost that you're looking for.

Good Luck!

I found a good lambo that handles good.  You have to dumb it down a little,  but the  (Murcielago LP 670-4 superveloce '09) handles really well.  The only problem I am having at the moment is the transmission.  The car itself, stock only, seems to do really well on handling, and its overall performance,  but I can't quite get the tranny to push out the power I need to get that elusive first place.   So far the best I have gotten is third.  Any suggestions on how to set the tranny for the best performance?   Thanx for the help if any.

Tranny Trick it.

Do this by setting the FinalDrive # all the way right.

Then set the MPH below that all the way left.

Without touching anything else, move back up to the final drive # and set your top speed to the desired number.

You will have a Transmission that  keeps you wound up and in the power band. If you do this an any other order, it will reset and the result is skewed.
