New Lotus Standards

[ Edited ]

Just thought I'd announce that there are two new Lotus standard models available in the Online Dealership:

     Lotus Elise 111R '04

     Lotus Esprit V8 '02

In addition, I found it satisfying that, thanks to this update, all cars in my Lotus inventory (except for one) show zero/my own mileage... Smiley Happy

So it appears we are going to eventually get all the Standard dupes of Premium cars.

I guess. It doesn't make sense to me -- why not the other way around?

Re: New Lotus Standards

I have said this before in another thread but I guess it bears repeating.

The "new" standard car duplicates of premium cars are in no way new...  They have ALWAYS been on the disc from day one.

PD just figured that since we had the premiums, we did not need the standard versions, so they never gave a way to actually get those "new" standards until recently.  Then they decided a few months back to begin giving us a way to buy them if we wanted them, by putting them in the online car dealership...

My only guess is that they are throwing us a bone to make up for the snailspace of the DLC releases, particularly compared to the competition...

The premium cars on the other hand take a bit more work than just including them in a list of cars offered for sale.  Sorry, thety do not exist yet, they have to be made.  And that takes time.  Just see some of Swerve's writeup of the trans-crammer...

I'm looking forward to new DLCs too.  I just realize they will be few and far between, but had hoped for better than we have gotten so far as far as quantity goes, I am not cutting the quality...

Hope this helps.
