I'm glad to see someone else here giving the big '70's cars some love.

Re: New Cars for download in GT5

I read a post where is was suggested that they develop different types of "packs", for additional cars. These packs could be for a particular country, a particular car type (Touring, GT, F1, etc.), or a manufacturer, or a particular year. I thought this was a great idea (Dirty Harry44). I see some of the cars on the "wish list", are cars that (maybe) only a mother could love.

The idea of cars pulled from previous versions of Gran Turismo is a good one too.

For universal appeal, there would have to be a wow factor to the car, or for it to be of historical significance. So many on the list don't seem to meet those conditions. As an example of this, I once owned a black, '76 Pontiac Grand Prix. It was a big lumbering car. I put some fat tires which lifted the rear and made it look mean. That's what I thought anyway. How many others really want to see a Grand Prix? They have some nice models, but are limited in their fan base.

that's my 35 cents...

If they did a Muscle Pack there are cars that would just have to be in it for it to be any good.

  1. A '69 or '70 Hurst Olds 442 ( white with gold stripes.)
  2. A 1965 Chevelle Z16. I mean come on the first Chevelle Big Block car.
  3. '69 Torino Talladega with RM opt for old NASCAR look
  4. '69 Vette 427 cid car. That one should be simple. Change the hood and the spec's. Only Vette I do want it been missing from the get go.
  5. AMC AMX or Javelin. With RM opt for Trans-Am racing.  No AMC's at all in the games. Last I know Chrysler had the rights to the cars but given there over hall they may be open info now.
  6. A RM (not TC) for the two Mustangs ('71 Mach and '07 V8 GT) we have in the game. It's hard to hold a Trans-Am race with out all the cars.
  7. Firebird? Base it on the Z28 in game to cut work load. Have a RM opt for it.
  8. '60 Impala 402 cid.
  9. '54 Thunderbird to run with the '54 Vette thats in the game.
  10. '72 Torino Sports Top with a 429 cid Cobra-Jet

Many of you who know me well will note Left out my favorite car from the list. A one of one car. 1973 Chevelle Baldwin Motion Phase 3 427 cid 4 speed with OD. I did that because it is hard too find facts about this car. I wanted to keep too cars PD can find with pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

But if  it showed up in the game I may pass out with happens.

Of course you know this whole tread should be in the car wish list?

I think a dirt oval with all those cars, sprinters, modifieds, etc wouldl be a welcome addition IMHO.
