whatever they say is ok, whatever we say is not..... rather simple actually.

Agreed and I think most people who know me know that's what I was getting at.  But I went at it in a very mature way (at least for me).

I had to check your name on that one.   Also, don't forget that the Pres from Sony EU has had to eat crow before. I try to avoid jumping on someones throat here when I see something that just seems wrong to me. That is why I posted later in this thread. GTPlanet has a great track record with their news so I trust them. A tweet to me is just a bird making noise. just my $0.02

I was serious about my question regarding Sony Europe.  It seems like Sony Europe keeps popping up.  While I'm sure they know more than us (hopefully), why isn't anything coming from Sony/Sony Japan (or whatever else it's called)?  How does Sony Europe fit into the whole equation and why do we keep hearing from them?

I don't think I'm going to believe the release date til I see it on TMZ. com.

I seem to remember Sony saying that they would have the new release date for GT5 near the end of October. So we'll probably see a press release sometime between now and the end of friday  with when the game is finally come out, right?

I dont remember Sony giving us a release date for the release date

*clears throat*

From GTP:

Fans are still feeling the sting from Gran Turismo 5’s postponed November release date, but hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out the game’s new date according tothis tweet by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe:

Yes, the GT5 European has also been delayed, we are sorry to say. We expect to confirm a new release date before the end of the month.

Of course, considering the “holiday season” was mentioned as a release target in their original announcement, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise but hopefully will help calm the fears of concerned fans.

re-end-of-october/

This came from the Planet, it's not an official statement from Sony.  So what makes it gospel?

Erm, read it again, mate.

It's a tweet from SCEE. GTP just hosted the news.

That's what GT Planet does - bring us GT news.

So last week a guy gets crucified on here for posting something he saw on a Sony-related blog, but coming from a Sony tweet is ok?  I guess I need to learn what's ok and not ok on here.

Also, and this is a serious question as I'm done busting Calvin's balls for knowing all, what does Sony Europe have to do with anything?  Isn't Sony a Japanese company?  Where does the Europe part fit into this equation.

Sony Europe is still a part of Sony.

If you heard something from Kotaku on a release date then heard form Sony Europe that it wasn't true, who would you believe?

Sony Europe can't just say anything they like - a statement coming from any part of Sony is official enough in my eyes. Sony Europe aren't going to say anything different from Sony Japan or Sony America.

I don't know why this conversations seems to be on such a heated one (or comes across as). I don't have a problem with you but I don't know if you have a problem with me. I know who hates me on these forums (just check the kudos) but I didn't meant to start anything with you.

We really need GT5 to be out, to have something solid to talk about.

I don't see how the wait is that bad. Don't people have lives they need to getting on with that should take their minds off of GT5?

If not then buy another game in the meantime to tie you over.

Hell, in 10 years time, GT5 could be just another GT game.

No Calvin, in 10 years time, GT5 will be the latest GT game.

As well as that, Is there any such thing as just another GT game? Each one is special.

Stuff like this makes me wonder who is running the Sony PlayStation brand

Do they even hear their customers or care at all?
