Practice, practice, practice. I have all the licenses golded, so it is possible. I am not the fastest driver either.

I don't think it is possible to gold that test with the ABS in the OFF position - regardless of whether u use AT or MT. Glad I aint the only one that noticed the issue with this test lol. Although I already golded all the tests, it would be nice if I could get a replay of a gold run saved and uploaded to YT to help those who haven't golded that test yet, but since the ABS is turned off and cannot be turned on, I don't believe it is possible to get gold, or even silver for that matter - if u KNOW u brake at the correct spot, u simply slide too far to make gold or silver, but if u brake earlier, you'll manage to stop completely with what might've been a gold time, but you end up short of the goal area. I dunno.

This is the first license test?  The braking test?  Is ABS locked on off?

The reason I ask is that I golded that one a few months ago (with a stick and auto shift), and just a few days ago (with a wheel and manual shift).  If that is the right one, the trick is to find the place to stomp on your brakes so that you come to a complete stop just inside the shaded area.  I used the dashed centerlines as references and braked just as I reached a gap in the lines about - say - two dashes before the box.  The exact spot is a matter of trial and error.

I cheated slightly on this one. I used the feather breaking method and then used ebrake to get some extra grip at the line, stopped me with plenty of time to spare. They never specified which brake I had to use, just that I had to stop. This method is difficult to do, but drift saavy gt-5 ers, it should give you a huge advantage. I also have gold in all tests.

Yes - it is the 1st test of the IB group...I don't know why they turned the ABS off for this test yet left the ABS on for the other 3 braking tests. As far as strategy, I did the same thing u did...I counted those little "dashes" as I passed them in order to find the right spot to start braking, only now when u do that, u either go too far into the goal area or u come up just short of stopping with all 4 wheels reaching the goal area. So until they fix this, I will not bother with this test again.

You may want to try watching the clock and hit the brakes at a certain time. I tried visual markers at first, but found it more difficult than simply watching the clock.

Hey all - I found out last night that it IS possible to gold it with the ABS off. It isn't possible to get gold in quite the same manner as the other braking tests however...u need to get the car sideways in order to get gold - when I pulled it off I was stunned. Anyway, here's what I did : I tried braking in a straight line like I did with the other tests, but just couldn't do any better than bronze - and I tried with both AT and MT...kept getting the same results - I'd either end up just short of the goal area or too far in. Then I thought of trying to get the car sideways...at first, I was having a bit of trouble, but eventually did it by hitting the e-brake first  then immediately applying the regular brake. My time ended up at 14.8xx (or something close to that) and I used a visual braking point like I did originally. So it IS possible to get gold afterall.

Has nothing to do with being a fast driver or not, you probably took the gold with abs switched on :'). This stuff so frustrating, I took silver and didnt bother to get the gold when abs was still available now i'm stuk at 14.995 when I finally want to get all licenses golden. This is the only license that I need to get. So does anyone have a nice video how to get under 14.900 without the abs turned on ? Cause the e-braking just makes the car swerve even more even when applying minimal breakpressure with the normal footbreak after that. It feels like this challenge more based on sheer luck then actual skill getting under that 14.9 nowadays....
