As some of you know, my PS3 hard drive suffered a failure a few days back. I genuinely feared that all of my irreplaceable data was gone forever.
However, thanks to an over-priced piece of software called HDD Regenerator, I was able to fix the hard drive with no data lost! Everything is still intact.
I posted the full story, and how to fix your hard drive, here.
It was a very stressful 5 days for me. I'm glad it's over. I hope no one has to lose their valuable, irreplaceable data.
Merry-late-Christmas!

Nice to hear about the good outcome, and available (be it pricey) solution. MastrGT should be able to add your resolution to his arsenal of list of way to fix problems.

Gojet, I gave Tunernaut at TPRA the link to your fix for his PS3, and it worked perfectly when he fired it back up.
He sends his thanks.

Yeah, even though you got that drive working again, if it failed once it's probably not long for another one to happen. Def replace the HDD and copy your stuff over! At least copy all your saves to SD or USB for now
Glad to hear good news!
