Backup your savegame file to a USB memory stick.

Start GT5

Trade a vehicle to someone

Exit GT5

Delete your savegame file from the PS3

Re-load your previous savegame file from the USB stick

Now your friend will have the vehicle you just sent and you will also still have it.

I would also like to add that sometimes when you dupe a car, the picture for it in the garage will either be missing or mixed up with another vehicle.  Relax, your vehicle is still there.  You just have to place the cursor over the vehicle, press triangle and select "create thumbnail", then exit the garage.  When you go back into the garage the picture will be back to normal.

It boggles me how mods let this kind of stuff on the forums.

If this was a FPS and somebody was telling somebody else how to glitch, it'd be locked in a heartbeat.

They will probably shut it down when they notice it.  However, being under the a map stabbing everyone and having no risk of death is different than getting a car for free...in my book that is.

You just have to place the cursor over the vehicle, press triangle and select "create thumbnail", then exit the garage.  When you go back into the garage the picture will be back to normal.

The pic/thumbnail should be restored soon as you click the create thumbnail
