I am setting up a new subaccount. First time doing that. It's tied to my main account.
When I start GT5, a message stating "chat must be enabled to use online features" displays (first time I have seen that) and gT5 has no online access for that account.
Kinda defeats the purpose for the account.
Question (which should be obvious)
How do you enable chat for a sub-account?
Appreciate it.

I may not be using the proper terms. As I said, the first time I have made one of these and I am regretting it.
You can have an account which is subordinant to your main account. For example, both use the same wallet in the store, so anything you buy from what I am calling the sub-account uses funds from the main.
In the past I never did this and just made each account seperate. I didn't forsee any trouble... I would just scrap that account and make a new one but I really want the name tied to the one I made.
Was hoping someone could help with this, I thought "surely someone has seen this, I have seen other people talk about it..."
Does this help anyone see what I am talking about?
Thanks, all.

Thats weird...
What is the birthdate you put is it over 18?
I have subs and have never had that problem because I set them for all over 18.
Make sure the account is 18 and over....
That would be my suggestion towards a first step.

Test it...
Make a new one and set it for 18 and over and see if it works.
If it does then we know that is the case.
If it doesnt then we know its something else.
lets just troubleshoot

I just found this on another website...
"PSN Sub Accounts
Sub-accounts (“subordinate accounts”) can be used by anyone, including children/minors. They are assigned to a master account (e.g. of the parent/guardian) therefore a sub account can not be created without an existing master account.
Some games are known to prevent sub-accounts from playing online (offline works fine), despite the user being a reasonable age and having the consent of the parent. If you are creating an account for your child and will allow them to play games online and do not need to control their actions, it would be advised to create a Master account for them.
The associated Master Account has the following control (Parental Control Settings) over the Sub Account:
Finances
Some voice/video chat restrictions"
