Especially weird since it worked as it should in GT5. But they seemed pretty good about addressing issues like that in GT5, they'll probably fix it in a month or two...

Has anyone noticed that tires are now priced per vehicle? Before Sports Soft (or whatever grade) was one price, regardless of vehicle. Now they vary from one car to another, as they should.

Something else they've changed from GT5, they no longer have multiple selectable interior cameras during replays! I used to love watching those!

Also what's up with reversing now? You hit the reverse button and it automatically selects reverse, but you have to manually select 1st again instead of just pushing accelerate.

Now that we have heard from experienced players, what do new layers of GT think of this version?

 

Maybe you have not played GT before nor racing games. What are your opinions?

I was surprised at that myself, that you don't see the PP value change as you adjust those settings.  Probably something PD intended to do, but hadn't got around to yet before they had to release the game.  This is the kind of stuff that happens when games are rushed, too much stuff unfinished and over looked.


It just puzzles me that so much that worked in GT5 now no longer does. Really, if PD needed to do a ground up rewrite of the game, it would have been better to just rewrite it for the PS4, take another year or two, and just sell us the tracks and cars, maybe do a physics update too, like they did on GT5.

 

All in all, there really wasn't very much in GT5 that needed work. The AI, qualy, maybe some graphics tweaks... But what on earth was the need for the game to be utterly changed? GT6 isn't a case of 'wow! Look at what they ADDED', more a case of 'Wow! Look at what they took away and what no longer works'.

The creative censor software is back, this time checking room comments for naughty bits... (for the best, naturally)

However...

Apparently I missed the back alley which explained what "S2000" is slang for...

Yes, it's considered "inappropriate content"...

(I tried running a room tonight using that car and discovered this.)
