GT5's "Quirks, Bugs and Glitches" thread

[ Edited ]

Because of the many single threads started about problems, this will be the one and only bugs thread to get listed in the GT Information Centre. I will try to direct SCEA's GT team to monitor it here.

Please be as specific and accurate as you can in describing the problem, how to create the problem and, if you have a solution for a problem, please be just as specific.

If you have a serious bug, please read these suggestions for resolving problems.

Not all USB chat headsets seem to fully work.

After setting the XMB to use the headset for input and output, game sounds do not go through the Logitech A-0374A ear speakers.

I assume there is an easier way to "activate" the clutch and gated shifter on my Logitech G27 other than to hit triangle before every race?  Can't they set the G27 has one of the configuarble wheels?

After the 1.02 update, everything seems to run smoother than before. I installed everything before I played and after that there was still "installing" at the bottom right when accessing tracks and cars. It runs smoother because it doesn't appear as much now too!

Anti-aliasing is the job of the PS3 and the only thing that will change it is to drop down to 720p.

Please keep this thread related to GT5 problems.

How is that not related to the game? It's advertised as a 1080p game. The cars are nice and smooth, so why do their shadows cast jagged saw teeth where soft lines should be?
