I didn't mean to bail but the power outage pretty much robbed me of my play time.
Any chance you can start using a UPS, to stop this kind of break?
They won't keep you on-line for an extended period, but they solve many problems.
I knew that was coming. I honestly don't have the money right now.
New event details posted. Free ride this week, recommended garage.

I have to apologize for not getting the pics done for last weeks event.
PT cost me 3 days this week... I'm only now able to fully recognize what day it is.
I'm going to try and drive a little today, crossing appendages I can even participate on Saturday.
Please accept my apologies for not getting the update done...

Great racing this weeked folks. Post-race was a blast as well. This week is open choice, 600pp, at La Sarthe 2009 (with chicanes). So bring your 'Vettes, Ford GTs, Ferrari's and other schenanigans.
We are doing a different prize scheme this month. Winners chooses the following events track/car combo. See event for details.
I have something important to discuss with you guys that concerns the future of GT Saturdays so bring your listening ears.

Due to too much loud music as a child, my listening ears are at the shop. I have a pair of loaners though, so I should be able to hear you just fine.
Saturday was a blast... Who knew Enzo's could float, and you can really punt those little Citroens...
Any body know if any Disney employees will be at this upcoming discussion...?
Just checking... O.O

So here we are... Another week of racing is in the books.
Getting a car this past week was easy enough using the recommended garage. Getting around the track looked to be a much different story. It looked daunting at first, stock 4WD's on Sports hard tires. To say some of us had our doubts would be a definitive understatement. MastrGT explained it well, and in the end his words were proven true enough. Sometimes you just have to take that next step whether you want to or not. As much as GTS is about fun, it's also about becoming a better driver as well.
As we started, there was much talk about which car would win out. The Subaru appeared to be the quicker car, but felt less planted than the Lancer. There was a heap of tire screeching during the warm up and the opening race as each driver tried their cars, looking for whatever advantage fit them best. In the second race, everyone switched up and drove the other car. The tires fared better than the consensus going in, with a single pit stop a requirement for most. The twists and turns tried their best, but at the end of the day the Subaru proved to be on the slightly higher pedestal of driver affection, and everyone felt much better about both cars and how they held up in the heat of battle.
After running in the sun of the mountains, it was up the slopes to the snowy slip and slide fun of Chimonix, and then on to the wilderness of Alaska. A few left, and a few new faces joined in the racing, and the cars once again proved to be more than capable in the colder climates.
From there it was on to an evening of learning to float, and a few rounds of Kick the K car, which in this case was M3's poor '54 Citroen Auto wannabe...
Someone needs to remind that Dan guy to save all the replays... He only had two...
Feel free to color your own versions of today's pics form the event, though I recommend you print them out on paper first...
Edhollonde(Edh), MastrGT(MGT) and PKR_Cipriani99(PK99) looking clean and mean as they lean:

MGT & PK99 looking for the new world... Or just some clean passing lines around Edh:

MGT showing how it's done:

Edh lets PKC99 know what he thinks of tailgating:

M-Tuned(M3) disagreeing with MGT about how it's really done:

xlr8life(xlr8) showing them both the "proper way" to take the mountain ess:

And then showing us all how not to take the hard right at the other end:

MastrGT using his car's stealth abilities to their fullest:

M3 remembering: "Where there's smoke, there's Dan..."

M3 sending smoke signals that he'd like to pass now, please:

PK99 pulls off track to see if his side mirror really works... It does:

MGT showing M3 how you really do smoke signals. Ed thinks it may rain soon...:

M3 has just learned the blimp has his favorite adult beverage...! Though his effort to reach it proves unsuccessful:

MGT finally understands what M3 was talking about:

Xlr8, DZ and M3 working on their new synchronized driving routine, "American Flag":

And yes, we can confirm the earlier reports that M3 is really, really thirsty...:

Getting ready to play with new friends out in the snow...:

If you aren't the race leader, here's what 5 laps on the Alaskan track looks like:

At least until you hit something...:

Or until the leader hits something, in this case xlr8. No wrries though, as the X factor notched the win:

We were kind of wondering what was up with xlr8's car... Upon further review I think I have an answer.
It looks like Harry Potter has found something new to do, now that his book & movie deals are done:

I'd like to thank everyone who came out to race, it was a very good time.
If you have replays of the other races, make a few pics and share..!
As for who won... Good Answer...!
I'm thinking it may not be the best idea to let the guy with drain bramage be the score keeper...
Next week promises to be some very good, wide open racing...
So come on out and join us next week, and have your own GT Saturday...!

Awesome picures and captions Dan. Thank you for sharing with us. We should of ran a race for a replay, kicking the Citroen around.
