@Pete, the guys that manage the gtsats account were all busy this weekend. You're request will most likely be accepted in a day or so. I hope you can make it out for next weeks race. Sorry you couldn't make today's.
Thanks tguns. I should be able to make most races.
hey... let's talk about that in the discussion group I'm trying to create. sending you a PM.
@Dan, I don't know why you would be so offended if people simply can't make it.
I doubt anyone purposely was absent just to offend you. I wouldn't think that of any of our regular racers.
sometimes participation is great, sometimes it is not. that sometimes does mean a less enjoyable occasion.
hopefully you'll be able to stop by once in a while.
Dan, once again I think you've read too much into my comments.
I merely meant to say, not that nothing was wrong with poor support for last week's race, but that the circumstances probably had nothing to do with you and you shouldnt' take it personally. Which, if I read between the lines accurately, is what you were feeling.
I'm taking time to organize a group who will be a planning committee going forward, and it is coming together and we're doing our best to get something for specs posted TODAY.
When the guy asked for the tracks to be posted on Sundays, I said we will strive to do it. I answered him. Have we done it yet? No. But the goal is ever closer.
The truth is, above all other shortcomings we as planners have that may have contributed to poor turnout, displaying drama here in this thread is chief among them. That's why my message was short and sweet. "Tguns, let's talk about this elsewhere" and "Dan, please don't take offense so easily and I hope you continue to join us when you can"
This is why planning for the event is being done outside of this forum. So we can hammer things out and have the appearence of being better organized.... so that if I or someone else who is usually very involved cannot be for a period of time, there are trusted others who can step up and get it done. We'll be able to communcate absenses better, and in a more official manner. Have schedules, responsibilities, etc.
...so it doesn't have to be a one, two or three man show.
I hope you and others will be patient during our growing pains.
