Best Grind for Formula GT?

34 replies 40 views Edited Dec 24, 2010

So I am level 21, and am trying to desperately save enough for a Formula GT to compete in higher end races. What is the best way, I seem to be grinding on the Extreme Series: Schwarzwald League B: nurburgring earning 71200 with ease, every 7 and half minutes or there about, but it's going to take me hours on the same race (sucking the fun out of the game) to get enough cash for the competitive cars.

What recommendations do you have?

At level 21, if you have a fast enough car, do the "Like the Wind" Indianapolis race, 5 laps takes about 4 minutes.  I used a Mazda 787B and if set up right, you can hold it wide open all the way around the track.

Alot of people been using American Championship Indianapolis (5)! But your not a high enough lvl yet. Then Like the Wind should be pretty good if you have a fast enough car for it but i think you need to be lvl 22 for that maybe! Complete some unfinished Special Events.

Thanks walkaway556.. Now the hard part of finding the Mazda787B. The second hand car sales can be hit and miss at the best of times.

You can find the Mazda 787B at the Mazda Dealership; it's a premium car.

Well, if you are looking for a way to save up fast for the Formula GT, buying the 787B isn't the answer because it cost more that the Formula GT.

Until you get to Am. Champ. Indy and convert a new ZR1 to Race Mod at GT Auto I think you are doing the best you can.

I don't understand this whole thing about "the grind". This game is supposed to be played at a nice leisurely pace. The only ones who are making it a "grind" (and I hate that term, it's another one of those goofy terms that gamers have created and it's spawned a life of it's own) are you guys. It's becoming tedious because you're MAKING it tedious. Just relax and let the game unfold. This isn't a competition to see who can be the first to post "I just beat Gran Turismo 5, now I'm bored".

Its because we are veterans who have played this game since GT1,,,IF YOU WANT TO GET ALL THE PREMIUM CARS YOUR HEART DESIRES THEN YOU GRIND,....We will leave you to run the Clubman cup at your leisurely pace, WHILE WE COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST ECHELONS OF THE GAME....

im not sure about the upper races but mine is the expert class, the middle race (lol) the one next to the historics.... the race im talkin about is an unrestricted race.... 3 laps, if u use the bugati veyron (cheating i know) takes about 3min and 15 seconds total and u get 50k that turns to 100k in 6mins 30 seconds, 200k in 13mins

yes, it's because you're a "veteran". This is just another case of "gamer logic" where you want things "NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!". If you really were a "veteran", you'd already know that this is not the type of game that you rush to "beat" (and I really hate these gamer terms), so you can proclaim "I just beat Gran Turismo 5 now I'm bored".

Well you know what? They're not accommodating you. You have to put the time into it.
