I'm thinking of taking the handy dandy Forza III tuning calculator and tweaking it to work with GT5's driving physics. The calculator was built for Forza Motorsport 2, but worked with 3 with a little tweaking here and there (because of the dramatic change in physics between Forza 2 and 3). These setups were never anything world-dominating, but provided a good starting point and a little more stability than the default setups.
When I've made up something, I'll certainly post it for others to use...and most certainly improve on!
isnt there one in the GT5CE
AFAIK Apex (the CE book) doesn't give you tunes for specific cars, which is what the OP is looking for
i didnt know that, i didnt get the CE, i have enough GT stuff.
You are looking for something like GTvault. Hopefully something develops because that site was a lifesaver in GT4. If it does it will probably take a long time to develop and grow into something usable since there are so many cars. A lot of the tunes there are way off the scale for what I think would work and common sence but most of them just flat ran circles around my cars.
I know a thing or two about setting up some cars, though GT5 is new and we'll see how the physics apply. I'd love to try a car or two and see if you like it, but I'm only level 13 right now. so couldnt be super pricey.
The thing about setups - there is no end-all be all guides. There may be good suggestions on a solid setup, but in the end the fine tuning is driver preference.
