450 PP Tsukuba Best Lap Times.

[ Edited ]
12 replies 472 views Edited Feb 8, 2013

I am looking for some good cars for this track using non race or race modified cars that can do sub 57 sec laptimes while max PP=450

Any upgrades  expect for race mod's and using race tires. So far the best car I found this the BMW Z4. I was surprised that how many cars suck at 450PP. I figured the PP calculation should make the cars equal. Seems the cars with the highest HP/ Weight while PP=450 are the fastest. Whats your fastest lap with a 450pp car on this track.

If I had to guess, I would say a Miata or an S2000 would be great on that track. Or try using the DC5 Integra, that might run a good lap there. But still I would say you'd have the best luck with the first two.

I think the premium '88 Supra is strong at 450pp, it has like 500hp or something ridiculous.

I also think the Mercedes 190E is supposed to be strong

The 2.10 update reduced the pp for lots of FR cars in such a manner as to make it much less equal than it used to; those FRs will  now be the fastest as they tend to have ~100hp more than a FF/MR/AWD at the same pp which is useful even at a little place like Tsukuba.

FC RX-7s are highly improvable to get to 450pp but not the easiest to drive.

Maybe at full weight.  378hp 410lb-ft at 1239kg with maxed GTauto aero is 449pp not-broken-in ... and runs ~1'00 on S-s at Tsukuba.

Is this search for cars related to the current time trial? Maybe it is just a coincidence, but I thought it was 400 PP.

No wonder my little MR2 struggled for a Gold time. :smileytongue:

I might have been thinking of the RX7 that you mentioned. I knew I saw a late 80s early 90s Japanese sports car running away from the field at that PP level a few weeks ago (I guess that doesn't really narrow it down :smileyvery-happy:).

Based off some 500pp cars from the old scale, the Toyota FT86 Concept, BMW 135i, and premium RX-8 might be able to do 56s, depending on how much their PP was dropped.

I don't think the RX-8s got adjusted much.   Broken-in premo is still ~423pp stock.

So which tires are you using? The seasonal requires CMs which make the MR cars drift like, well, a drift trial. MGT, how did you pull a gold with that? LOL. I tried like hades to do it with the Reault Turbo 5 and only managed a silver. Got frustrated and checked the leaderboard and golded on the first lap with the premium Miata.

No I use the Tsukuba track as a quick test because of the 60sec or less laptimes. I dont want to spend hours doing quick tests. I selected 450 to average a range 400-500pp
