Did you try switching the USB Stick to another Port? On my Slim, sometimes Port 1 is wonky for no good reason.
I've seen diagrams of your setup, and realize that yours is wired differently, but my suggestion would be to try and unplug whatever is in Port 1 and use that port directly to restore. If Port 1 is the issue, use port 2 diirectly. I have had issue also with using USB extensions at times.
It goes quickly when someone has everything. 
I haven't looked at this problem yet, but I might get to it today.
The USB hub is still wired as you saw in my picture. The only thing that changed was me unplugging the stick from the console hub and plugging it into the computer, then using the eject USB device command so that I could plug it back into the console. The hub could now be bad, unplugging the stick from the console without ejecting it could have done something to the file system. Who knows? The computer can still see the files and I have the folder copied to my hard drive. All I know for sure is that, at the moment, I should be down a ticket and GT can't see the saved files to get it back.
I will try plugging it directly into the console first.

Hello everyone, like other people who didn't realize, I never saved my tickets, always cashed them in as I won them. I would LOVE to get in on this loop thing with your tickets... level, birthday, rare, whatever. How can I get in on this??? The trouble is that I don't have any tickets to trade for the moment. I have tons of horns and suits and stuff, I don't use them at all. I would be happy to give cars as well, I got like 400 or so. If you don't mind helping someone out, send a request and I'd be happy to share what I got! Eric
